Jenny was roused from her anxious sleep by the sounds of the stable doors opening and of confident footsteps approaching. She eased herself onto her four hooves before looking out into the aisle to confirm her suspicions. Her heart happily skipped a beat as she saw the stable woman confidently striding towards her. She looked to be in a good mood, surely she would be merciful.
“Good morning” the woman announced with a joyful tone as she almost skipped towards the hopeful mare. “My, what a lovely horse, such a beautiful specimen” she said as she stroked along Jenny’s muzzle and up to her pointy ears.
Both the human and horse sides of Jenny’s mind enjoyed the attention. The Jenkins portion was relieved that the stablewoman wasn’t in a vengeful mood; if anything she seemed happy! His conscience remained hopeful that he would be allowed to change back to normal.
However, Jenkins couldn’t help noticing that the woman seemed to be treating him as if he was a horse, not a human. He justified it by reasoning that this was technically correct; after all he, or more accurately she, was still a sexy mare in heat.
“DAMMIT!” Jenkins scolded himself mentally, “why did he keep thinking like that!?” The mare shook her head as the conflict continued to rage in her mind, with both sides seeking to gain full control.
“I can tell that you’re nervous my dear” the woman said as she continued to stroke Jenny soothingly. “Don’t worry; I shall do my best to put your mind at ease, although you haven’t made things easy. On the one hand your antidote is an amazing success. Without it I’d still be stuck as a stupid horse, much like you in fact” she said with a giggle.
“However,” she continued, “you also deceived me when you denied that your formula was complete. Rather than undo my transformation you elected to mock me and treat me like an animal whilst you waltzed around as if you were in charge. My how our fortunes have changed since then” she said with a smile as she continued to stroke the mare’s elegant chestnut coloured muzzle.
“Consequentially,” she announced “I will...”
