Emily walked through the house, mingling with people she knew from class along the way. But that did not distract her from her goal: finding Meera. She paused as she saw a group of people circled together playing Truth or Dare in the lounge. Maybe they had seen her?
"Heeey guys," Emily slurred a little to the group. "Have you guys seen Meera?"
"Oh, hey Em," Amber Richardson said. "She was here playing the game with us earlier. But then she left without saying a word."
"Did you see where she went?" Emily asked. "I'm trying to find her."
"Not a clue," Amber shrugged. Without warning, Clark Owens walked into the room and tripped on the leg of the couch. He fell to the floor but still managed to hang onto his drink without spilling it. This klutz has been the target of Meera's obsession for the past month? Emily couldn't understand why.
"Whoaaa, that was a nice save," Mark slurred from his secure seat on the couch.
"Watch out for the couch," Emily sarcastically said. "It moves so quickly."
Clark glowered at her and said, "At least I'm more graceful and nimble than you."
"A hundred times more graceful," Mark said.
"Yoou're b-both a l-lyin'," Emily stumbled over her words. "You're both lying and you know it. I'm way more graceful than you." She shook her head and rolled her eyes. "You see Meera recently?"
"Uh, yeah," Clark said, struggling to haphazardly sit back on the couch. Poor Meera. "I think she was outside? I'm not sure."
"Thanks for the help, jackass," she grumbled and turned away. She pulled out her phone since it had vibrated once again during that conversation. She read the newest update.

She sighed and groaned internally. She needed to watch her words more closely. She can worry about those two later. Right now she needed to get to Meera. She licked her lips nervously. Damn, she still needed that cigarette, too.
