"Make the most of this, huh..." Emily mumbled to herself as the school bus disappeared from her line of sight. This female body didn't seem to be all bad, at least Ms. Santos hadn't given herself an overtly sexy kind of figure. (Not that her body wasn't attractive in its own right, of course) Plus, it seemed to match the youthful body her 10-year-old body had, so there wasn't any loss there...
"Hey!" Emily heard a voice call from behind her, bringing her out of her thoughts. Her bare feet creating a slapping sound on the wet surface as she turned around, facing the marine conservationist that had called her.
"Since that teacher of yours decided that you should help us in that form of yours, I decided you should probably be getting on that, don't you think?" The conservationist smiled, a voluptuous light-skinned woman with long blonde hair.
"Oh, okay!" Emily said, walking over to her, simultaneously getting used to walking like a girl, with her new centers of gravity and all. Still, she was excited, ready to make the most of this. "Um, what do you guys need me to do? Clean tanks? Feed the fish? I'm ready for anything!"
"Well, with that energy and bod, you'd be a shoo-in to be the host of our next show, but that won't be for a while." The conservationist said, turning to look at the several pools and tanks that they had split Emily's classmates into. "So while you wait, how about you pick out one of the animals to help out with?"
"Um okay..." Emily said, bringing a hand to her chin in thought as she looked out at the animals, subconsciously resting her elbow on her breasts. Looking at all the tanks, she saw tropical fish, octopi, whales, orcas, seals, stingrays, sharks, and walruses, which were all good places to start. Still, what stood out to her the most were the dolphins, her eyes lingering on their certain tank.
"How about I help out with the whales?" Emily said, rocking on the heels of her bare feet in excitement. They looked so happy playing around in their tank that Emily couldn't resist picking them!
"Wow, what a coincidence!" The conservationist said, chuckling, her blonde hair waving about as she did. "Those are the animals I'm looking after! The name's Annie, by the way."
"Mine's Ed-Emily." The brunette replied, nearly slipping up with her name.
If Annie noticed her slipup, she didn't let on, choosing to start walking over to the whale tank, which wasn't that far away. "Okay then, girl. Lemme fill you in on something. The whales that we'll be tending to are a mixture of your classmates as well as natural dolphins. So, we've got a few more dolphins than you might think. It shouldn't matter much, though, girl."
As the two neared the edge of the tank, Emily nodded, taking the information in. "Okay, I think I've got it..."
True to Annie's words, the tank was full of dolphins, all kinds of them. Experimentally, Emily dipped her hand into the tank, only to have one the dolphins brush up against it, leaning into her touch. Emily giggled as she pulled her hand back teasingly, waving playfully to the dolphin, while Annie found herself amused to see that she was adjusting well to her new role.
"Well, these guys should be fed soon, so I'll go get the bucket of fish," Annie informed Emily, the brunette in the process of being sprayed at by her new whale friend. "Girl, think you can hold the fort down while I'm away?"
"Sure!" Emily said, turning to face Annie. "You can count on me!"
Nodding with a smile, Annie left, leaving Emily with the dolphins, both natural and transformed. Taking her hand out of the pool, Emily sat back and simply watched them play and swim about. She was beginning to like this new body, and didn't mind being stuck in it for more than 3 weeks now. Still, something Ms. Santos said still bothered her.
