Kellie laughed as she now twirled on the child sized merry go round in the play area, although a few small children were present she was truly enjoying some grown down fun. “Where’s Katie,” she now thought. “She’s missing out on all the fun.” Glancing around for her fiancé Kellie frowned as she spotted her.
The 5 year old Katie was precariously perched on a chair, trying to glance out at the reception hall where the dance was being held. As she was doing that she was also attempting to send a text message. Kellie could only shakenher head at the sight, Katie looks ridiculous. Sighing the young girl now strolled towards her fiancé. “Katie what are you doing?”
Katie spun around glancing down at her grumpy looking fiancé. “Well,” she started. “ I was just doing my best to keep an eye on Gloria, then I remembered that I forgot to tell Lisa about Morgan’s favorite toy so Inwanted I send a text. But the reception is awful down here and my hands are so small now that I’m having trouble writing.”
Kellie could only shake her head. Grabbing Katie small hand, the girl tugged Katie off her chair. “Hey where we going,” Katie whined. Kellie said nothing as she now made her way towards the play castle set up in the corner of the play area. Pulling Katie inside she quickly glanced around to make sure they were alone before looking at her girlfriend. “You seriously need to relax,” Kellie huffed. “After all the craziness we’ve had this year this is the perfect time for us to just kick back and have a bit of fun.”
“But what if Gloria gets careless with the ring,” Katie countered. “What if she gets in trouble? What if something happens with Morgan? I need to take these things into account Kellie. I don’t have time to relax.”
Kellie shook her head before giving her girlfriend a small smile. “We both know Gloria will do fine,” she smirked. “She’s very responsible and if she gets carried away you know we can fix it.”
“But were only 5 right now Kel,” Katie countered. “What if they alter reality? What if someone tries to attack them?”
“I’m pretty sure we did the same thing when we were their age Kat,” Kellie said warmly. “Remember all those times we went to the bar with the girls or all those people we altered without thinking. Gloria and her friends are just doing the same, we both know it’s harmless and we’ll talk with them afterwards.”
“I still wish we could see what’s going on,” Katie grumbled. “And that we were taller.”
Kellie giggled, placing a small kiss on her girlfriends cheek before waving her hand. Katie watched as a small image now began to form on the wall of the play castle. Katie watched as slowly but surely an image of the dance hall that Gloria and her friends were In came into focus. “When did you learn that spell,” Katie asked, awed by Kellie power.
“Kinda talked with Merlin after we visited the other timeline,” she shrugged. “Figured this could come in handy someday. It’s the first time I’ve actually cast it.”
“Well you did an awesome job Kel,” Katie said warmly, hugging her fiancé tightly. As the two grown down girls watched they could see Gloria and the others mingling among a group of 40s dressed teens and young adults. “Looks like the girls have been busy,” Katie grumbled. “It seems they changed a whole bunch of seniors into college kids.”
“And we’ll remind them about changing everyone back when we see them,” Kellie said. “For now though, you want to head back up to our room. Maybe watch a movie and snuggle in bed?”
“Sounds like fun,” Katie said. “Except for the fact we’re only 5 and stuck in this play area til Gloria gets back.”
Kellie raised an eyebrow before giggling girlishly. “Cmon Katie,” she smiled. “You know we can change back anytime we want. We just wanted to humor Gloria and the others.”
Katie sighed before nodding, it was true she could of ended the spell anytime she wanted. While Gloria’s power was impressive it paled in comparison to Katie’s. Snapping her fingers Katie and Kellie returned to their 21 year old selves in a flash of light. Kellie smiled squeezing her fiancé hand tightly. “I think it’s adorable that you let Gloria transform you.”
“She’s grown a lot this year,” Katie smiled. “I mean between helping Ann, Lisa, grandma and grandpa, battling a all powerful evil sorceress, helping to save the future, and helping out her friends she’s done so much to make things better for everyone.”
“Told you She was a good choice for the ring,” Kellie grinned. Katie raised an eyebrow before laughing. “Pretty sure that was my idea,” Katie laughed. “Now cmon you lets head up stairs and cuddle. Let’s just keep an eye out for Gloria so we can Be here when she’s done having her fun.”
Kellie nodded, placing a kiss on her fiancés lips as the two sorceresses teleported to their room. The two college age women would enjoy some adult time, keeping an eye on Gloria before returning to the play area. They would let Gloria and her friends have their fun while keeping a watchful eye out for the the magically teens.
