"Ugh," Harold sighed as he climbed into the driver's seat of the van. "You girls sure know how to clean out my bank account," he grumbled as he started the car.
"Well, I do need new clothes," Melissa replied as she buckled herself in. "I'm a growing girl, after all, and after what happened last weekend, I did alot...and I mean ALOT...of growing."
"I'll admit," Virginia said, "I was tempted by that pair of pants that said 'Juicy'...it would've looked cute on you."
"Please," Harold said, his eyes rolling towards Virginia, "Don't encourage her." Virginia simply shrugged while giggling. Harold pulled the van into reverse and then drove out of the parking lot towards the highway home.

It wasn't long before the trio pulled off the main highway and took the road into the mountains that led up to Moon Lake. The roads were slick with rain, but Harold managed to keep the van on the twisted road. For most of the trip, Melissa just looked out the window, thinking about the events for the past few days.
"Something on your mind?" Virginia asked, interrupting Melissa's thoughts.
"Sorry," Melissa said, turning her head to Virginia, "It's just...I've been thinking about the past few days. They've been rather crazy lately, and well, if you saw me a couple of weeks ago and told me that I'd be a walking cow...well, I'd call you crazy."
"Yeah, and I didn't imagine I'd be a walking tiger either," Harold replied, "But here we are. And for what it's worth, I rather like this change." He could feel a hand squeezing his arm, and he smiled, thinking it was Virginia.
"Moon Lake has that kind of effect," Virginia replied. "I'm glad that you moved in next to me. I mean, you, a history professor moving in next to a high school history teacher. What are the odds?"
"Yeah, and funny enough, it was Alice that brought us together," Harold replied. "She forced her paw and used you to claw me." He paused to think for a moment, "all for what, some revenge? A scam plot?" He sighed and said, "who knows?"
"And then she brought in that drug...what was it again?" Melissa asked.
"Love Potion No.9," Virginia answered, "And even after all our efforts, it still got into the dance."
"I know," Melissa said as she sat back. "I...almost became a werefox because of that." Harold and Virginia both pursed their lips as Melissa explained. "If it weren't for my friends, I'd be a werefox instead of a werecow."
Virginia sighed as she said, "And I wonder how many other kids got affected by that too."
"I remember lots of kids having sex back there," Melissa said as she stared out the window. "There were even a few guys fighting over me. I can only imagine that there were more than a few normal kids that are now weres."
"And probably an unwanted pregnancy or two mixed in with that," Harold said, growling.
Virginia sighed again and said, "We'll probably hear more about this tomorrow morning when school gets back in. Although, with rumors as they are, this'll probably blow over quickly with new rumors." She paused to gather her thoughts, "Still Alice...if only she..." She sighed as she didn't finish the sentence.
The trio sat in the van quietly as they approached Moon Lake.

When the three reached their Moon Lake home, Virginia climbed out of the van first. "Thanks for the ride, handsome," she said with a smile. "See you later tonight?"
Harold grinned and said, "After we get back, sure."
Melissa chuckled as she climbed out. Both Harold and Melissa went to the back to get the clothes they bought from Seattle. "Ooof," Harold said as he hefted a rather large bag, "I don't think I can afford another shopping trip like that till next year." Melissa grinned as she helped move the clothes from the van to her room in the home.
Once, with her father's help, got the clothes up to her room, she pulled each article of clothing. These clothes would fit the new her and she considered her options. She decided to go with something simple which consisted of a plaid shirt and a pair of jeans. After she finished dressing, she looked in the mirror at her new clothes. The clothes looked good on her. It didn't do much to hide her new figure, but it did look like she could work on the farm. Adding in one additional detail, she took a hairband and tied her hair into a ponytail. She took the part that was tied and put it over her shoulder. Taking in one last look in the mirror, she smiled and said to herself, "Not bad.."
"Are you almost ready?" Mel could hear Harold shout from downstairs.
"Just about, dad!" Melissa replied as she put on a few finishing touches to her appearance.
