Nate was in the kitchen helping his mom make dinner when his dad came home from work. He half listened to his parents make small talk about about his day as he chopped vegetables. Soon, his father's attention turned to Nate.
"Nate, one of my co-workers told me about a site saying it was worth checking out, MonsterMe.com. I checked it out, looks like a fun photo editing site. I thought you might want to check it out."
"Cool," replied Nate. He handed the cutting board to his Mom and since there was nothing else she needed help with went upstairs to his computer. He pulled up an internet browser and pulled up the MonsterMe.com website. The website pulled up and he quickly created a profile for himself. He waited as the website loaded to the next page.
He was shocked when a full body image of himself loaded on the next screen along with a dizzying array of options to choose from. Options ranging from skin color to scaly or furry, to options for claws, fangs, horns and tails among many other things. Nate couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the options. Each option had a sliding bar that allowed him to select the degree of change. There was even color palettes to choose the color for his monster self.
Perplexed as to how the site could have a full body picture of him, he decided to continue playing with the settings. He decided to go furry with a slightly shaggy orange fur with bright red stripes. He slid the bars for claws and fangs almost all the way to the right signifying large fangs and claws, and also have his face push out in a more monstrous brow and sort of snout. He added two large horns to either side of his brow to curve back. He also moved the slider bar over so his ears would get long and pointy. He added a large, furry tail as well. He also modified it so he would have a stockier frame with large muscles. For length of transformation, he selected a half hour. For duration, he selected three hours. Satisfied, he clicked preview and watched as his digital icon slowly transformed into the more monstrous self.
A new message box popped up: Initiate Transformation now? Yes/No
"Ummm...I think it already did, but sure." Nate clicked on Yes thinking full well it was just a fun photo editing site.
"Nate! Dinner!" called his Mother from downstairs. Nate reached over and turned off the computer monitor before heading downstairs, completely unaware he was about to begin transforming into the monster he just designed.
