Edgar Richard's was just a college student trying to study a subject that he was interested to try and get a decent job. So when he got a call for an urgent meeting with his advisor he was pretty worried and found himself pacing back and forth in front of her door, nervously wondering what was going on. It couldn't be his grades, as those were near universally perfect. He was one of the top performing students in the university, a fact that he was reminded of constantly, given how well known he was around the campus.
Finally the door opened and he stepped in, facing his advisor an old woman named Mrs. Tellers. "Sit down," she asked of him, gesturing to a chair in front of her.
Edgar nervously sat down. "What's this about?" he asked nervously.
The advisor shifted some papers around on her desk. "Usually a doctor would tell you this," she muttered. "Do you recall when you donated some blood on campus?"
Edgar nodded.
"Well it was tested and… well there isn't any delicate way to put this… you were found to have the monster virus."
Edgar's mouth dropped open and he nervously adjusted his glasses. "Wait that can't be…" he said weakly, before freezing. He recalled some of the symptoms of the virus. He HAD been eating more and sleeping more. His entire had also begun feeling strange about two weeks ago. And if he had been feeling strange for about two weeks, then estimates said he about two weeks before he changed.
"We have a program for people like you," the advisor said. "If you would like you may live in a customized dorm with some of the other victims who are a part of this university." She gave him a look of pity. "Don't worry we will do our best to help you through this change."
It was a while before Edgar found his voice. "What am I turning into?" he asked.
Mrs. Tellers blinked. "Well it is pretty ironic. It seems your transformation is related to your current major. You're studying…"
