Colin snored heavily as Mary Anne rested her head against his chest.
"Eight... Nine..." a voice said.
"Huh?" Colin groggily asked.
"What?" Mary Anne asked.
It was Barry, replying "I counted off nine of us."
"Oh right..." Colin yawned.
"And that presents a problem..." Barry said, "this food isn't enough to last us the drive into the countryside."
"What food?" Lynn asked.
"Exactly." Barry replied.
"What's your suggestion exactly?" Margaret asked.
"There's a restaurant called the 'Cracker Barrel' a mile from here." Barry explained. "We can stock up on supplies and refuel there..."
Colin's eyes widened as he saw the fuel needle a few ticks away from empty.
"When did we..." Colin started.
" Barry and I took turns driving... we thought it'd be better to get away from the city..." Chester explained.
"That makes sense..." Colin yawned again, "good timing too, I need some coffee..."

The van pulled through the parking lot and slipped into the gas station across the street.
"There she is... the Cracker Barrel..." Colin smiled as he saw the familiar sign.
"I was here with my family once... we had a good time...." Colin sighed with a sinking smile, "getting too sentimental there..."
"If you're done thinking about good times, I'M ABOUT TO SNAP YOUR NECK IF I DON'T EAT SOMETHING!" Lynn yelled in his face.
The nine of them slipped out the back and crept across the empty road to the food they sought after.
Mary Anne clutched a bat as Colin pushed the door open.
"Hello?" Chester called out cautiously.
The crew filed in and waited for a response...
"Guess nobody's here..." Colin said as he opened a sack and poured a shelf full of candy into it.
Everyone else went through the store looking for good eats.
Barry went over to the chocolate and dumped two boxes of Hershey's into his sack.
Margaret went into the dining area sampling food with a dye that turns sexual discharge blue.
"Clean." she said in front of a chicken and waffles plate.
"Lemme at it!" Lynn yelled, shoving the chemist aside and shoveling the cold, sticky mess down her gullet.
Mary Anne grabbed a single DVD off the rack and slipped it in.
"Wait, that's it?" asked Jackson.
"I'm just not comfortable stealing..." Mary Anne sighed.
"I'll handle your share..." Colin said as he grabbed the sack, shoving a few t-shirts into it.
Mary Anne sighed, sitting down in the dining room and helping herself to some fries Margaret found clean.
"You gonna eat those?" Lynn asked.
"I was planning-" Mary Anne started as Lynn snatched the fries and ate them up, "to."
"I'll share with you." Colin said as he kissed her cheek and went back to looting.
He tightened up a couple bottles of ketchup and hot sauce, tossing them in with some butter packets.
Chester used a crowbar to pry open the register and stuffed the contents into his pockets.
Miles boxed whatever wasn't eaten by Lynn or the others (it was mostly Lynn...), while Steven, the fastest since Lynn's pregnancy, carried the goods to the van.
"This should be enough to last us a good while." Miles smiled as he dropped a pack of M-and-Ms into his sack.
Steven ran it to the car as everyone tried prying Lynn away from a plate of cold mashed potatoes.
Suddenly, there was a clang in the kitchen.
Everyone drew their weapons as Colin and Chester approached.
"One... two...three!" Chester quietly counted.
Colin kicked the door open with his gun readied, starring straight at...
