You and your best friend Tim sit bored at the back of the bus and you both stare at the massive trees which line both sides of the gravel road you now cross. The bus regularly bumps and it once again makes you wish you weren't here.
Your parents and his parents both thought the both of you didn't get out enough, that you needed to get out and experience new things or other such nonsense. Groaning you turn to Tim who seems equally disinterested. You look across the bus, at least it seems to only be boys. Hopefully that means there won't be any girls to ruin your fun.
Well at least you two are together so you might be able to make something of this disaster. Suddenly both of your attentions are brought to the front of the bus as it suddenly pulls to a halt. It seems you have arrive.
With some struggle you manage to keep together as you both push your way out through the crowd of likeminded boys streaming out of the sole exit of the bus. Eventually all the boys gather around in front of the main lodge in front of a row of Counsellors. You notice that all of them are female yet don't think much of it.
The muttering and whispers between boys as they continue their conversation quickly dies down as who seems to be the leader Counsellor steps forward to silence the crowd and speak.
"Greetings soon to be Ravenwood Campers! I'm Welwyn your senior Camp Counsellor and I'm here to ensure all of you have the best time possible. Now I would like to please direct you all to bathing lodge right over there. I'd like you to choose your rooms before going and meeting with the campers already here."
As soon as she finishes the rush for the lodge is on, with everyone wishing to get there first.
Despite much struggle and having to push your way through the crowd, you both manage to get a room to yourselves. Shutting the door to ensure no one tries to claim it, you both take it in.
It seems rather humble, a small wooden room with a bunk bed.
Tim gives you a cheeky grin "I claim top bunk!" He shouts as he claims up there.
You roll your eyes but don't object and instead simply lay down on the bottom bunk for a bit, taking in the room you will be forced to spend your summer in.
"Well this going to suck" You muse. From atop Tim responds "Yeah it will. But hey, maybe we night be able to bring a bit of excitement to this crummy place."
You give a small laugh in agreement. However suddenly you notice something.
