In other circumstances you would run to the boy and try to see what's happening to him, but right now you have the distinct feeling that things are just _wrong_, like
a voice in the back of your brain telling you to stay away from all this. To run away from this place.
Yes, you definitely should get away. But curiosity has the better of you, and you choose to remain here, half-hidden in the bushes, watching. And listening.
The first boy is still screaming, down on his back, kicking at the grass and clutching at his belly. His two friends are but one step away, too afraid to reach closer,
trying to figure out what's happening to him. "What's up, Billy?", you hear them ask, repeatedly. The fourth boy is on his hands and knees, coughing and spitting.
Suddenly, the girl stands up and slowly steps towards the four boys, glaring icicles at them. The fourth boy notices her.
"R-Red?", he manages to ask.
"Yes, Tom, it's me", she answers, frostily.
The other two hear her voice and take a step back, as pale as ghosts, with mouth and eyes wide open. "W-we di'n want to..", mumbles one of them.
"Oh, you didn't want to. Sure, Aaron, you _didn't_", she replies, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "That's why you worked for _days_ to drill that hole in the wall,
huh? Because you didn't want to". She smiles a terrible, cruel smile. Then she looks at Billy, who's still convulsing. Apparently, she's enjoying the show.
You barely resist the urge to run there and slap the sadistic little brat.
In less than half a minute, Billy's screams turn to soft moans, then to silence. The girl's smile broadens. "Now you'll see", she says. "Now you'll learn what you truly
are".
Slowly, Billy rolls on one side, then manages to stand up. On all fours. He looks around, with a dazed look in his eyes.
"Bweeee?", he squeals, interrogatively.
The two boys gasp, stepping back in horror. "Is... is it you, Billy?", asks Aaron, tentatively.
Billy squeals again, then starts trotting around, grunting and smelling the ground for food. You noticed he has kicked his shoes away, and his feet look long and
deformed beneath the white fabric of his socks. His arms, legs and chin look impossibly hairy for a boy of his age.
Tom, who still is down on his knees, suddenly realizes. It must be the drink. He drank some, too.
"No... NO! NOOOOO!", he shouts. Then, a terrible pain seizes him, and he drops to the ground seizing his guts just like his friend did minutes before.
Meanwhile, Billy is still changing: his midsection growing in length, his fingers melting together, his whole body growing fatter and straining the fabric of his clothes.
"Yes. Yes. Yes", the girl replies, musing. "You're only getting what you deserve. Pigs you are, pigs you will be!"
A ripping sound covers Tom's screams of pain: Billy's clothes have given way to his bigger, plumper body, and now lay torn in tatters on the grass. Billy's arms and
legs slowly shift and change, coarse bristles growing all over them. His nose starts to grow and turn upwards, and yellowish tusks grow out of his drooling mouth.
His butt is sporting a cute, pink curled tail.
With great effort, Tom manages to stop screaming, holding back his pain, and points an accusatory finger at the girl. "You.. you are a...", he begins. But then his
eyes glaze over, his hand falls, and his voice breaks into small grunts and squeals. He trots away happily, as his body begins to change too.
Something seems to snap in Aaron's brain. His eyes, once filled with horror and disgust, are now wide with pure, genuine fear, fear for his own life as a human boy.
"Quick, Jerry! Run!", he shouts, pulling his friend by the arm and heading towards the bushes, away from the nightmare he witnessed.
The girl's eyes narrow in anger. "You won't get away!", she snaps. "Granma's potions work from the outside in, too!". She grabs the boys' bottle, and steps toward
the still mesmerized Jerry and his frantic friend.
