Since the game didn't work, Nate wandered around the house trying to think of something else to do and suddenly feeling quite restless. His parents and brother were out of town for the weekend for one of his brother's sporting events, leaving the sixteen year old boy home alone. Still, he was grateful for a little piece of peace and having the place to himself. He walked into the family room and walked over to the large patio door. He was suddenly feeling quite warm and slid the door open, feeling the brisk February air rush over him as he did. He looked out into the quiet night and up to the large, full moon in the sky.
"Too bad that game didn't work. Playing a werewolf game on a full moon would be appropriate." Nate was still feeling warm, even hot now and slipped on an old pair of sneakers he kept by the door and stepped outside, closing the door behind him. The security light clicked on, illuminating the back porch in a bright white light. Their house was fairly secluded from neighbors and surrounded by a large wooded area, something Nate and his brother Eric took a great deal of delight in exploring over the years. But now, Nate was starting to wonder if he was coming down with something as he wiped sweat off his brow.
He cried out as he felt a sharp pain in his gut, followed by another. The pain seemed to radiate throughout his body as he braced himself on the porch railing. He felt a searing pain in his fingertips and held his hands up, watching in horror as his thin fingernails slowly tore away as long claws slowly grew in. He let out a gasp as he watched hairs start to grow in on his forearms.
"No fucking way..." he muttered as his body continued to convulse and transform. He gripped his head, wracked with pain as he felt it begin to shift below his transforming hands. Sounds of popping seams and tearing fabric came next as his muscles grew and shifted.
"This can't..." he pained to get out, his teeth were growing into large, sharp fangs. "Please...no..."
He dropped to the cold concrete as his feet reformed into digitigrade paws, tearing his sneakers apart in the process. He rolled onto his back as his chest pushed out, ripping apart his shirt, exposing his now furry chest. He clutched his gut, trying to cry out as he felt his insides shifting and changing.
He was finally able to get out a few guttural cries, tears sliding down his fur covered cheeks, "Please, it hurts...it hurts..."
Nate arched back as the transformation finished itself as his ears grew to points and his face pushed out into a lupine snout. As it did, his new wolf instincts took over as Nate got to his feet and ran off into the night. There was a new werewolf on the loose and he was ready to hunt.
