So it was that the two guys headed further into the Valley of Dragons and came apon the huge gaping mouth of a empty
cavern.
They went inside and soon got separated by the hundreds of tunnels leading deeper into the interior depths of the Valley of Dragons.
Now what no one on the surface knew was that deeper down
beside a underground river there lay a ruined ancient temple
to some long forgotten Goddess of Dragonesses.
Since there weren't too many dragoness's wandering by along the underground river to pay her homage and share a cup
of Snapdragon Tea with the Goddess she tended to be
very possessive of what dragoness's she could lay her claws on
including turning any humans ,male or female
into dragoness's whether they wanted HER gift or not.
So further downriver along that underground river was a
colony of dragoness's eking out as best they could.
So there was Jon traipsing along in one of the tunnels
,totally lost
when he heard a weird eerie musical tune of panpipes further
down that tunnel.
Jon was thinking more about the panpipes being from the main attractions
rather then what they actually were,a trap set up by the Goddess to snare unwary humans into meeting HER.
So along marched Jon till he fell through the hole in the tunnel
floor and plunged nine miles down towards to underground world of the dragoness's.
Now Jon should have been killed on impact with the underground
rivers surface but the Goddess had fanned her wings and blew
up a foul smelling stream of her Divine Breath upward towards
Jon.
Besides starting his transformation into a dragoness it also
slowed the speed of his fall to a noisy sputtering "Splash"
rather then "Splatt"
Jon didn't know it but the Goddess had submerged her enormous
and enormously land body so she lay about four feet below
the surface of the endlessly deep underground river.
Too deep for Jon to want to see what the spiky pebbly surface
he stood on now really was but shallow enough to keep the new dragoness from drowning before she earned her wings.
So Jon walked along the spiny back of the Goddess,who helpfully guided her new subject in the direction
of the ancient temple,where she planned to get Jon her wings,tail,spikes and horns.
Jon didn't know any of this of course and was briefly left splashing and sputtering in the suddenly deeper waters
which was actually him walking from the Goddess's foreskull
to her deeper in the water snout.
She gently nudged hin toward the shoreline with her enormous forked tongue.
Jon got up on the shore and turned around
just in time to seeing huge glowing slitted amber
eyes staring back at him from underneath the surface of the
river.
Then with a blink the serpentine eyes vanished and the river
was all darkness.
