Now Beth certainly intended to turn Prince Palador into a
dragoness, after all that prize male dragon stud she'd just purchased from the Wicked Witch of the West
needed a dragoness to mate with and bear his young.
And Beth was aware a dragoness let loose on rebellious
villagers every now and then was a good weapon to keep
the other villages compliant to Beths will.
But the words were "every now and then"
Beth had learnd from experience that dragons constantly running
about attacking her enemies actually was not as effective as a
dragoness that might suddenly pop up unexpectedly to do the
attacking.
Beth had learned what Londoners would learn centuries
later in their own war
a bomb that goes "Boom" the minute it hits the target only
leaves a hole in the ground that the survivors fill in and then
get on with their lives.
However if the bomb doesn't go " Boom" right away but just sits there ticking away
can bring EVERYTHING to a halt as folk just
don't want to go near that unexploded bomb and be
the one who just happened to be standing beside
that bomb when it finally went "Boom"
So Beth just wiggled the scrawny little effeminate Prince
frozen in time whilst she thought about the matter.
She got on with her evil deeds and turned the King and Queen
into a Royal Stallion and a Royal Mare.
And made sure the villagers and the remaining Castle
staff knew she had been kind to the King and Queen,
The sweating villagers and staff definitely let her know
that they appreciated her kindness.
Beth had the Prince Palador
"frozen in time " figure carted to her secret workshop in the Castle
where unseen by anyone
the populace soon forgot there had even been a Prince Palador
or a King Garon and Queen Peachy.
As for the rest of the Royal Family they were quickly sold at the farmers market to a farmer who knew nothing of her new livestocks origins
or didn't want to know.
Over the years Beth visited her workshop and worked her magics on the Prince's body to effect the first steps in the change
turning him slowly into a female.
So after the ninth year of her troubled reign Queen Beth turned
Prince Palador into Princess Paladina,or perhaps the
chambermaid Paladina.
The time was not yet ripe for Beth to release Paladina from her
time frozen state or to curse her with dragonesshood.
