Janet smiled as she examined her bedroom, not surprised to find it had changed. It was larger than her old room, and far more luxurious. Gone was all the clutter of her previous adolescent self. What remained were the essentials: a twin-sized bed with a small table next to it, a dresser, a desk with a computer laptop on it, and a rolling chair. In the far-right corner was a doorway leading to what appeared to be a closet. This clearly was the bedroom of a woman in her middle years. Janet noticed a black-colored purse on top of the dresser. She was about to grab it see what’s inside when she remembered she now had X-ray vision. A quick scan revealed a driver’s license with her new adult face on it. According to the license her name was still Janet Wilson, but it stated her age to be 36.
Janet realized she was still wearing the magic necklace in her right hand. The super-powered woman put it next to her purse. All of this simply confirmed what she already knew. The amulet didn’t just change her, but reality as well. But by how much, she wondered. She sat down on the chair in front of the table and turned the laptop on. Fortunately, the computer recognized her username and password. She began to search the internet for any information about herself.
