"...I can't cure you. The viral dna is so integrated into your dna I'll never be able to get you back to normal." Dr. Tee finished.
Rachael felt her heart skip a beat. 'Never get back to normal' They were stuck like this... Rachael's mind raced trying to decide how she felt. Was it really so bad? She did like her big firm boobs, her new luscious tail and her lover's giant cock in her pussy as she rode him all night long. She smiled, they were stuck like this.
"Oh, well that's just too bad." Rachael feigned disappointment. "You hear that Mikey? We'll just have to be horsies forever." She finished, giving her lover a fake pout.
"Oh but that's not entirely true." Dr. Tee piped up. "I can't get you back to normal but I can tweak this virus. You know, change it up a little bit. It's the least I can do for accidentally getting you infected in the first place."
"What would you suggest doc?" Mike asked plainly.
"Well," Dr. Tee started. "I would think that keeping your changes suppressed would be the best thing. You don't want to start changing when you're out and about do you?"
The pair shook their heads quietly.
"So I suppose." The doctor continued. "I would suggest some sort of control or fail safe procedure that could push back or prevent any changes until such a time as it might be more appropriate."
Mike and Rachael nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, like a vitamin or a pill." Mike offered.
"Well yes and no." Dr. Tee corrected. "I plan to modify the virus its self. I never did trust pills and supplements. Besides, what if something happened to me? Then you'd loose your control mechanism and be right back where you started. No, no, it's much better to modify the virus."
"Ok." Mike agreed sheepishly. "If you say so." Truth be told he was a little uneasy about changing up his genetics again, but this time the doctor was focused on the task at hand. He couldn't possibly mess it up again, could he?
"So I'll just re-sequence that pesky virus of yours to respond to a new set of parameters." The doc spoke more to himself than to the couple across his desk. He started typing away on his computer. "Yes, that'll do splendid. How does this sound? If you find yourself beginning your change, just hold your breath and it should go away within a minute or so. Or we could try this, shake you head really hard and the changes should stop. Or if you really don't like either of those we could just make it so when you feel the change coming, if you rub your temples it should stop it."
"Uh." Rachael looked at Dr. Tee a little dumb founded. "Those all sound terrible! Can't you make it so we can just focus on it or something? Then we can just think about it and stop it."
"Oh my!" The doctor stopped typing and stared up at Rachael. "That's a wonderful thought my dear, but I'm afraid there's just no way to establish a mental link with a virus... unless..." He hurried back to his screen and keyboard. "Unless we moved the resequencing rna over to the anterior side and then boosted production from the beta cells! That just might work!"
The doctor continued mumbling on to himself while Mike and Rachael exchanged worried glances at each other. Eventually they got tired and found a place in the corner to sit down and wait for the resident mad scientist to work out a viable solution. There was much to do while he worked so the pair played on their phones until sleep finally over took them.
They awoke about four hours later with Dr. Tee gently nudging them awake. "Come on, get up. I'm all done!"
The pair shot straight up. "You're done?" They both cried in unison.
"Where is it what do you need us to do?" Mike jumped up ready to do whatever the doctor needed.
"Oh it's done." Dr. Tee stated plainly. "You were both asleep so I decided to just apply the modified retro virus while you we sleeping. Quite brilliant of me if I do say so myself."
"Wait." Rachael said trying to clarify the situation. "You just thought, 'hey, I know what's a good idea, I'll just apply another virus to these people while they're sleeping instead of waking them up and making sure I have consent, because it worked so well the first time.'"
"Well, yes." Dr. Tee agreed. "Look, I apologized for infecting you, and I'm trying to make it better but we both know you're not going to the authorities about this so why make it harder on us?"
"Exactly WHY aren't we going to the authorities bub!?" Mike yelled angrily.
"Calm down," Dr. Tee spoke calmly. "You're not going to the authorities because they would ask for proof and if you gave it to them they'd lock you up for study just as fast as they'd lock me up for whatever the devil I'm doing here, I guess human genome tampering or some such. So we can just be done with that line of thought and you two are free to go. Let me know how it turns out and I really do wish you the best of luck."
"Oh, that makes a lot of sense actually." Mike replied a little bashfully. "Thanks for your help I guess."
"Oh don't mention it. Really, never mention anything about me to anyone." He smiled and walked them to the exit. "Now I believe I did manage to establish a link between the virus and your mind. The only thing is it might take a little time for you to get used to it and for it to grow strong enough for you to control your changes with it. So be careful for a while would you. Right then, goodbye."
With that Mike and Rachael were practically shoved out of the lab and found themselves back on the street in front of their car.
Rachael and Mike discussed what they should do next and both decided that getting some 'undistracted' sleep would probably be the best. After dropping Rachael off at her apartment, Mike headed back to his. He had a lot on his mind and was grateful for the quiet trip home.
