As Alcuin left there were a few awkward moments before Becky decided to break the silence.
"Ok, I guess we'd better head to our room then" the naked girl suggested.
Not seeing any better options James sulkily attempted to follow her but soon realised walking on webbed feet was close to impossible. Becky had to stifle a giggle as her froggified friend tried in vain to move in a dignified manner.
"This isn't funny *CROAK*" James complained "And it's your *CROAK* fault I'm like this remember?"
"I'm sorry" Becky put her hand to her lips and tried to look as serious as possible "Have you tried hopping?"
"What?! *CROAK* Stop making fun of me!"
"No, I'm serious! It might be more natural for you until we sort out your.." Becky paused as she chose a tactful way to finish that sentence "current condition"
Grumpily and wordlessly James fell into a squatting position, which did feel more comfortable as much as he hated to admit it, and launched himself forward. He made an involuntary croaking noise as he moved to add to his humiliation, but he was at least able to reach his destination quickly and effortlessly.
"Hmm, quite a nice place we have here" Becky nodded in satisfaction as she inspected the pairs living quarters for the evening.
"Yeah, it's ok I guess *CROAK*" James sighed. He had given up trying to stand and was crouching sadly at his his friends feet.
Becky couldn't help but feel guilty.
"Look is there anything I can do for you?" She asked earnestly.
"Just turn me back" James croaked.
"Um, I'm not sure that is a good idea" Becky replied sympathetically "We should probably let Alcuin do that"
"I can't wait that long *CROAK*! I just want things to be normal again!"
Becky sighed.
"Ok, lets try and make things normal for you." Becky agreed reluctantly "But don't blame me if it goes wrong"
Becky concentrated her limited, poorly understood magical powers on James and hoped for the best.
