The impostor rubbed his chin, thinking. A series of thoughts and possible choices cane to him, debating whether or not “yes” or “no” would yield the more entertaining alternative.
“Hmm. I’ll tell you what, Mikayla. I’ll let my mom know. I’m sure she won’t mind if you have him until.... the day after tomorrow.”
Mikayla’s eyes lit up. “Wait, really? I can keep him for that long?” The impostor chuckled, genuinely amused. “It’s..... it’s not really that long an amount of time.”
“Well, with a dog this awesome, it sure feels like it is!”, Mikayla laughed, nuzzling Jared further towards her cleavage with another right but welcome hug. Jared panted, giving another lick without thinking. It was perverse, and he new it. But the sweet sensation of the smoothness of her breasts combined with the surprisingly palatable mixture of flavors that her skin lotion bear Jared audience to were a wondrous pairing that he couldn’t resist experiencing again. That, and this was the hottest girl in his class’s boobs he was running his tongue over. When else could he ever take advantage of this type of opportunity again?
Mikayla laughed, patting Jared’s head. “That tickles!”, she chuckled, as the impostor looked at Jared with a knowing smile. Though he couldn’t see the action standing behind Mikayla, he claws more than able to put two and two together.
“You’re sure your parents won’t mind?”, the imposter queried.
“Nah, they should be fine. So long as he’s toilet trained. My mom loves animals and my dad’s out on a business trip.”
“Well, so long as my mom says ‘fine’, I guess he can be yours! Plus, it’ll help me buy time. You know. With convincing my parents not to go through with the-“ The impostor mimicked a snipping motion with his fingers, making a *gttch* noise with his mouth. Mikayla nodded, a look of dread on her face. “I hope you can talk them down from it. I get why they feel like it’s the right thing, but if I had balls? Dude, I’d want them on me all the time.”
Jared smiled, though neither the imposter nor Mikayla could see. Something he had always liked about her was her tomboyish personality. She loved old school rock, often wore the shirts of irreverent television shows or horror films, never wore nail polish that wasn’t black, and enjoyed making jokes about topics many teachers saw as “unladylike”.
The impostor nodded. “Yeah. I know what you mean. Well, hey, I’ll go ask my mom and then be right back so we can head off. Just let me say one thing to Shaggy. He’s my best bud, after all.”
Mikayla modded, stepping back and letting the imposter lean closely into him for a whisper. “Enjoy this while you can. I figure you deserve one truly happy memory in this form before your precious boy parts are taken off. I have no intent of talking ‘mom’ or ‘dad’ down from the operation. So spend the next 24 hours wisely. That is, if they even let her have you for tomorrow.”
A chill ran down Jared’s spine. The impostor was being benevolent for once, but at a cost. A sense of malevolent Puppet-mastery was about him, and it made Jared..... uneasy to say the least. But, at the same time, he got 24 hours with Mikayla in one of the best forms possible for it. And, as much as he didn’t want to be, he was hanging onto a thread of hope that his dad would talk his mom down from the operation, being a fellow hot dog handler.
