The doctor,who wasn't as much an expert on the subject as she
let on,was confused with the results.
Now the results out of the big MythoGene Analytic Machine
doesn't actually spit out
manticore
lamia
werewolf
kraken
but more percentages of naturally occurring animal DNA
the Monster Virus had transmuted the original human DNA into.
Hence
werewolf came out
33% homo austropithelicus 33% grey wolf 33% shark
Manticore came as
33% lion 33% hominid 33% tiger
and Kraken came in the printouts as
25% hominid 33% octopus 8% squid 33% Great Whale
So not surprisingly the doctors hired to tell the infected the
final outcome got the wrong diagnosis plenty of times.
So Kim just stared at the young tired doctor sitting on the
other side of the desk ,a cup of unfinished coffee beside
the doctors trembling hand,athe sleep rings in the tired doctors
eyes.
So the doctor looked dully at the complex list printout from
M.A.M. for Kim and muttered away as she tried to integrate
about 20 different animal species into one simple Monster
descriptive.
a little bat,a little snake,a little spiked beetle,a lot of t rex a lot of brostosaurus a bit of wooly rhinocaeous a bit of megalania prisca and 13 other animal DNA boiling away in Kims altering human DNA
Kim herself guessed it correctly
she was turning into a female western dragon,a four footed
feral one at that,even more likely pretty big
but the dulled out doctor got the diagnosis wrong and threw up the
papers in frustration into the air and calling it a day.
So there was Kim,keeping her poker face and since the 'expert'
seemed to not be returning anytime soon Kim quietly took the
scattered heap of papers on the desk,,snapped photos of them
with her camera phone for later referral and just sat there
till the doctor retuened and told Kim she was turning into
a anthropomorphic fox vixen woman.
Privately Kim was thinking "yeah right,if you say so" but she
kept her opinion to herself because Kim realized what she was
really turning into,the authorities would have her hauled off to
a detention prison for dragons somewhere.
So instead Kim just sat there whilst the clueless doctor
scribble in "anthropomorphic fox vixen woman" on Kims next paperwork and stamped it with the Official stamp
of the Monster Health and Safety Deparrtment stamp.
That done Kim shook the doctors hand warmly and walked back into human society,a dragon to be released into a world of human sheep.free to do what her altering dragon DNA allowed her to do .....
