The Magic Shop

Fixing people, one photo at a time

She drove home in the dark slowly but steadily. She was only paying enough attention to the road as to not crash, while she constantly thought about her various lives. Apparently, she was supposed to be a man named Henry, but primarily remembers being a girl named Hailey, while living out the life of a woman named Hana.

Even with her increased intellect, Hana found it all so confusing. She arrived home to find that she lived in a fairly expensive apartment complex. She didn't even try to go here, but her body got her here by muscle memory alone. She walked inside he Arab culture decorated apartment and collapsed on the couch. An orange tabby cat jumped up and curled up on her massive boobs.

"Hey boots." Hana chuckled. "I bet you want me to stay Hana don't you?" She asked rhetorically.

She thought back to her memories of her past lives. She remembered she enjoyed being Henry for the most part, but the work was long and hard, with little time for rest. She also remembered a pretty nasty divorce that he was still paying for. She remembered being Hailey and how dumb she was, unable to do well in school with only cheerleading to drive her. She remembered her mean parents and how hard it was to please them.

Then she thought to her current life, her life as Hana. She remembered and amazing childhood with supportive parents and an excellent working experience. She remembers getting her teaching profession, her nights out on the town, her loving friends, all of it. As she drifted off to sleep. she decided that this is who she wanted to be. She wanted to help people with the camera, and make a difference.

She woke up the next morning bright and early, mostly since her body was still used to waking up at the crack of dawn. However, she could feel her eyes were bloodshot and her mind screaming for more sleep. She rubbed her eyes, realizing that she shouldn't have stayed up as late as she did. She looked over at her stove clock to read that she only had 25 minutes to get ready and go to school.
"Oh God, I have work still. And the freaking superintendent is coming today!" She remembered in a groan, before moving her hand over to find the camera sitting next to her. "Or... maybe I don't have work today." She said smirking.

"No. No it's too risky." She thought. "I don't have full control over the camera, there's no way yo fully confirm what I'll become."

She convinced herself up until she attempted to stand, discovering just how tired she was as she plopped back down. She barely had an hour to get ready for school and head there, but her hair was a mess, her makeup was warped, and she could feel her mind falling asleep. She thought of using the camera again just as Boots hopped onto her lap, giving Hana an amazing idea.

"Well... this is risky, but I'm willing to risk it if it means I don't lose a job where I can help people." She said to boots.

She made sure that the camera would make opposites. Normally, this would just change a person into the farthest thing from what they were. It would make, for example, an old white man into a young black girl. However, Hana reasoned, if there were two subjects in frame, they would each be the basis for the other's opposite.

"I'll help people, but I can take a day." *SNAP*
