As she thought about things, her mind drifted back to the horror of when she'd tried to fix a few coworkers and turned them into birds, and that woman who'd been turned into a damn bra before she'd even found the thing. Leaving anyone stuck like that was so much worse than anything else she might want to fix. And honestly, she wasn't sure all these problems still existed. Hailey had had an abusive stepfather, but contrary to her memories, Hailey hadn't been a teenage girl before yesterday, and she wasn't one today. She had an entirely different set of parents now, and probably a third set before. Who knew if that asshole even had a child to abuse in any other version of reality?
Most of what had been changed happened at the school... which of course hadn't originally been a school, but any changes there would best be handled on Monday anyway. This of course caused her to wonder if she should also try to change the school back to its original form. Would she change along with it? She did work there. A fully built school was generally of more value to the community than some accountancy office or whatever it was she'd been working on in a past life... and again, there were more students than there had been workers. Where had they come from, and where would they all go? This was starting to give her a headache.
Looking through the other changes the camera had made, it was obvious she needed to help that woman who'd become a bra, but how was she supposed to fix that? Just run around town asking every woman she saw to unbutton her shirt to have a look? That was something of a distracting thought. She really had been single too long. Taking another look at the change list though, a clue jumped out at her. The names from the changes before she'd found the camera.
Rick Hunter to Riley Stevens and Olivia Stevens to purple satin bra
Paul Stevens to Paula Nguyen and construction site at 47 Riverbank Drive to Riverview High
Emily Stevens to Emily Nguyen
Paula Nguyen to Paula Nguyen and Beatrix Frank to Lady
...
The same last names kept showing up! Most she didn't recognize at all, but Emily Nguyen was rather notorious among the school staff as something of a troublemaker. How their family name had switched from Stevens to Nguyen was anyone's guess, but if it happened to the whole family, all she'd have to do is poke around a little.
Quickly, she finished her coffee, and dashed to the office to double check Emily's address, then swung on by to check on things. How to go about this though? She couldn't exactly just knock on the door and explain herself. Or maybe she could?
