Chad was unsure about what to do. He took too much time pondering and the giant's hand enclosed him. He was lifted and tossed around the salty, sticky fingers whose touch irritated his skin. Tossed once again into the shoe box Chad panicked. He floundered from wall to wall as the shoebox balanced; he had no way to know what was going on.
Chad did not have a thought on the time-lapse. The shoebox was finally open and tilted, he fell to one of the sidewalls and faced under the shoebox a terrarium on a shelf. The box was shaken and he fell inside it. The ground was covered in a fluffy soil, although there was no vapor the interior was more humid, Chad could feel it.
"Here you go, little fella...you want you fat and big to fight the other bullfrogs at the Jumping Contest", the giant said and with these two crickets were tossed inside the terrarium with him. Chad hadn't even taken a good look at his new house and his senses were already on the delicious snack that was as curious as he was. He knew somehow that opening his mouth to take in the cricket was lowering himself to be a beast, but right now like his reflection showed in the terrarium's flass that's what he was.
One of the crickets got closer and tried to climb a fallen stick. Chad opened his gummy jaws and before he knew he was munching the cricket's exoskeleton.
"Yup, you were just hungry, little fella", he heard the giant say.
