The Thayer family was on vacation. The parents, Peter and Lila, had wanted to go on a camping trip with their three sons; it was something they had never done before. They had rented a nice little cabin in the woods that came stocked with all the necessities. Husband and wife were both eager to begin a relaxing time that might include some bonding with each other and their sons.
The boys all felt differently about the trip. The oldest, Will, was 16. He was a geek who liked his alone time to read and was not a huge fan of the Great Outdoors.
The middle boy, Jack, was 13 and the opposite of Will. A social and popular boy, he was irritated that he wouldn't be able to communicate with others. But it was a great environment for him to get in a hike workout (he was very athletically inclined).
The youngest, Henry, was 10 and couldn't keep back his excitement. He had always wanted to go camping! He couldn't understand why his brothers (both of whom he admired deeply) weren't enthusiastic about the trip. After all, he'd been told there weren't bears here.
After unpacking their belongings and marveling at how nice the cabin was, Peter and Lila left on a walk, leaving the 3 boys subject to the Canon's magic. Who do we follow?
