Dale suddenly remembered that he and his friends were going to meet up to play video games that night. Still wearing his cool new jacket, he rushed out the door and down the street.
Dale arrived at the door of Fred's house, and Fred let him in. His eyes went wide when he saw Dale's new jacket.
"Wow! Where'd you get that? It looks really nice," Fred said.
Dale replied, "My sister gave it to me. One of her friends bought it and forgot about it."
Once their other friends, Emmett and Parker, showed up, they too admired Dale's cool new jacket. All four were skinny gamer types, though Dale was definitely the tallest.
As they headed to the TV and console, Dale felt like his clothes were a little tight. His face had also been getting kind of itchy and his voice had cracked several times. But he brushed it off, unzipping the jacket a little for some room to breathe.
An hour later, Dale was once again cobscious that his clothes were too tight. This time, he pulled the jacket off. The only thing noticeable should have been his bright orange short-sleeve shirt. But he was startled when he heard a gasp.
Parker was staring at him, mouth agape. He said, "Holy cow, Dale. How long have you been working out?"
Confused, Dale said, "I haven't." His hand flew to his throat as he realized that the voice he'd spoken with was much deeper than normal. What was going on?
