You had selected that nobody else besides you (and the tree) should be aware this time and looking around nobody seems to have noticed the tree reducing in age drastically.
For your first change you had everybody aware, so that makes you wonder if anybody would now be surprised by your newfound knowledge. Well, it's nothing you couldn't explain away. You leave the tree behind and make it the rest of the way home.
"Grandpa!" your enthusiastic grandson Ben shouted from the couch where both he and his brother David sat. David seemed to be occupied with playing the Playstation... Wait Playstation? You were sure it was a called a Nintendo. Ah, you had been mistaken all this time.
From the kitchen came the voice of your daughter "How was your afternoon walk, dad? Discover anything new?". You would never lie to her, so you say yes. "There was a shop I had never seen before. It said that it sold 'magic'. I didn't buy anything from it though, you know me." Technically true after all.
Some other small talk and you excused yourself to your room. Sitting down in the chair new to your record player you open the app. The 15 feet were enough to still show a bit of the living room. Indeed you could actually select Ben, while unable to select David.
