While there was a lot of things going on at Animalia and Lyre for Spookyville, it wasn't the only thing going on. There was plenty of other things going on in other colonies, and there was some things that were new for the newest members of Animalia that were already known by "veteran" members

Dino City, for example was doing a "mad scientist"-type thing with genetically "enhanced" dinosaur-human hybrids while the "aquatic" branch was going to be on Dino Island. But they also had their own thing going. A large group of special effects movie makeup students were graduating for winter 2019 and they would be doing their final "exam" there. What they were doing was using movie makeup to create a "cursed" pirate crew for the Fernando which had been cursed by a deep-sea god to literally become "one with the sea". While they were getting the crew ready, the Fernando was already pretty scary covered with temporary phosphorus (or glow-in-the-dark) paint to give it the "ghost ship" effect.

Mieni Atoll also got into the Halloween spirit with a showcase of sea and jungle demons/spirits (depending on what culture they were part of or who viewed them). But for the younger set, there was a scavenger hunt organized by Topanga involving "kandy kauldrons" scattered over the seven Islets. Susan had, clearly, roped Tzan into helping Topanga out against her will, but she was at least helping out.

Heiya Island were not only getting into the Halloween spirit, but also were showing models and artwork of well-known, and lesser well-known, yokai. While there were those who have played Yo-Kai Watch, 100% of them were surprised that historically, yokai were nothing like they were depicted in the videogame.

New Zerzura was generating a lot of popularity due to the Boo Haw Haw featuring a matchup between the winner of last year's Boo Haw Haw and a relatively new newcomer, the Mummy. As a kind of publicity stunt, a person (using movie makeup and costume to appear as a real mummy disturbed from slumber) walked out of Ahmose II's tomb claiming that Miss Vivian had been disrespectful toward him. But part of what made it funny was his efforts of getting a passport to travel to America for the matchup. Part of was due to the fact that he had to have an occupation in order to get a passport in line with today's "regulations". Another thing that was amusing was an incident with (fake) airport security making a stink about all the protective charms and talismans he had around his body. While it was intended to be funny, it did poke fun at a different kind of cultural shock.

Probably what was the funniest thing, or at least the funniest thing on television, was the Cheaper by the Dozens episode where Kelly was not only touring Spookyville with Raymond Piper, but also had to keep track of six of Raymond's younger siblings, not being helped by the fact that they were all three or four years old.
