Almost immediately Emily had to stifle a gasp; her now-little sister was shrinking right in front of her eyes! Julie had been kneeling beside the bed, her bouncing head just clearing the mattress, but in a blink she was below it, barely as high as the bed frame and shrinking proportionally each second! She continued bouncing on tiny limbs, now doll-sized and rapidly becoming engulfed in her dress.
Reaching out to shift the dress so her shrunken sister wouldn't get buried, Emily couldn't help but ask "Do you feel anything?"
"I feel... lighter? I dunno, nothing really seems any different! Did you start the game?" Julie chirped with a miniscule voice. Her eyes popped open and Emily barely held back another gasp at the sight of the sky-blue irises with vertical pupils seeming much larger in her sister's face. A slit had appeared, connecting Julie's upper lip to her nose, which looked slightly darker and rougher. Furry ear tips poked through Julie's blonde hair, and Emily watched, fascinated, as they grew longer. They didn't seemed to slide up her head so much as her sister's head seemed to reshape, her crown lowering and her forehead shortening as her nose and cheeks pushed outward slightly.
"Mmmrow!" Julie stretched on top of her crumpled dress, "You said mwree were gonna prray a game! Let's prray!" she sprung forward, her jump taking her surprisingly far for her size and she landed at Emily's feet, batting with one hand at her loose shoelaces. Her tiny sister was essentially naked, but Emily could see that she was now covered in a blonde fuzz. A new appendage had sprouted just above her rear and rapidly grew into a long, golden tail that lashed back and forth as Julie played with her shoe.
As the tiny creature emitted playful growls, Emily felt little pricks as kitten claws tried to sink through the canvas of her sneaker. Her sister was lying on her side, a ball of fur dwarfed by Emily's shoe as she pulled herself around the object by all four claws, only to spring to her feet and zip under the bed. The Kitten-zoomies were clearly in effect!
