While Alisa wasn’t too sure about her and Ethan’s situation, they honestly needed to get some groceries. This worried the woman, and her husband could tell.
“Alisa, we don’t have to go if you don’t want to. I mean, even I’m not willing to try and drive like this.” Alisa looked at him, as if she could look my away from him that well. The way they were conjoined would make anything different. Walking, sitting, bathing.... Really everything. At least they weren’t stuck butt-to-butt or something else that would make things even more difficult.
“No. If this is our lives now.... If we can’t reverse whatever happened to make this permanent.... I guess I just have to get use to... this.” Ethan could still tell Alisa wasn’t sure about this. He hugged her, knowing she might need it. He then looked at her, smiling.
“Look hon’, I love that you’re willing to accept this may be life now, but if you’re not ready for this don’t force it. Take some time to adjust to this. We have plenty of food to make something, or we could ask Sharron and Scott to go. Them being joined at the hip makes it less obvious.” Alisa smiled at her husband, giving him a kiss before leaning back a little, feeling their stomachs tug as she did. She let out a light sigh, taking his hands in her’s.
“Ok. Maybe we should stay here for now, but maybe we should try to get some alone time.” Ethan chuckled.
“Sounds good to me, though kinda funny that’s what you’re thinking of right now.” Alisa playfully punched Ethan, giggling at the comment.
“Oh, come on you. Let’s get inside.”
