Swamp nymph. That's what Alice realized she was once she stepped under the protective shading of the ruined factory floor. First, she discovered that her ears were pointed with sharp tips, the lobs having melted back into her skin. Her eyes were pupil-less, with the corneas now a brilliant shade of light blue that filtered light so efficiently that she could gaze directly into the sun without harm.
What to do now? Alice's first thought was to find some clothes, but each time she fashioned something and tried to cover herself, she became too hot and had to strip it off. She deduced that her body was now sustaining itself by absorbing sunlight and converting it into chlorophyll, a process that would only be possible if she was completely naked. So she resigned herself to permanent nudity and instead focused on turning the factory into a proper home. She found an old office that made a perfect bedroom, and decided to decorate it with bits of paper and old folders she found scattered about.
Without the need to find food and only occasionally needing to drink water (made much easier since her internal organs could safely process any filth or bacteria from even the filthiest puddle and render it 100% potable), life became a bit dull. Alice decided to spend her time discovering what other abilities she now possessed. In addition to no longer needing oxygen since her body produced it constantly, she could "feel" the heartbeats of plants and trees, use her own blood to grow nearly anything at twice the normal growth rate, and heal from any wound or injury with astonishing speed. She also tried to see if she could command the plants to do her bidding, but soon realized that without practice the most she could do was make some vines dance like snakes.
Over time, a number of homeless drifters and vagrants tried to make their home in her factory, and each was dealt with quickly. At first, Alice simply scared them away with her powers. But some refused to leave, and after fruitlessly waiting for them to leave, she decided that, by virtue of no longer being human, she didn't have to play by the same rules. The unwanted visitors were killed via toxic powders introduced through flowers growing in the cracked walls, their now useless bodies placed into the swamp to decompose and serve as food for the local wildlife and vegetation.
One time, instead of killing a weathered drifter, Alice decided to have some fun with him. Her skill with her powers had reached the point where she could now project illusions through the eyes of humans, making them see whatever she wanted them to. She had secretly gone through the man's belongings and found a picture of a woman who's age she couldn't figure out, yet looked a bit young to be his wife. Nevertheless, she took the woman's appearance for her own and tricked the fool into thinking his beloved had come to find him. For a decrepit piece of vermin, he turned out to have impressive stamina and after fucking him for well over an hour, she still couldn't make him release his seed. Dropping her disguise, she offered the wretch a proposition: stay with her as her servant and sex slave or die an even more painful death than those before him. He quickly agreed, and she infused his body with some of her own genetic material, giving him the same powers while also binding him to her forever. If she were to die, he would as well.
And so her days became a little less boring. As it turns out, being a literal goddess of the swamp was everything Alice had ever wanted. She had power, a home, and most importantly, a man to fulfill her every need. Nothing could possibly threaten her new life now...
