As the school day was ending, Gloria was getting excited to go home so she and her friends could help out miss Haskins. As she was about to pass Miss Dean's classroom, she suddenly heard what sounded like crying and it seemed to coming from the teacher herself.
"It's alright, just please tell me what's wrong? Maybe I can make it up to you somehow?" Derrick suggested trying to cheer up Miss Dean.
"I....I....I... went to the doctor a few days ago." Morgan said through her tears.
"What? Why? Are you sick? My god, you're not dying are you? Morgan, please just tell me, I can take it." Derrick said as he held Morgan's hands.
"I'm...I'm....I'm infertile." Morgan said through her tears. Derrick looked shocked and a little confused by this news.
"What?" Derrick asked.
"When we were back at the hotel....I checked to see if maybe....maybe I could have a child. But nothing came of it. So I went to the doctor and they told me that I was infertile." Morgan said through her tears.
"Oh...honey, that's...that's okay. Even if you can't have children, maybe we could adopt down the road?" Derrick suggested.
"No, Derrick, I don't want someone else's child. I don't want another friend's child, or a coworker's child that they offer to give us because they can't take care of them. I want my child, I want your child, I want to have a baby inside of me that I know is mine....but it'll never happen now." Morgan said as she began to cry more.
Derrick leaned his head on Morgan as she continued to cry until he spotted Gloria almost sneaking by the door.
"I'll be right back, I've gotta check something." Derrick said as he went out of the classroom to stop Gloria.
"Gloria, how much did you hear?" Derrick asked as Gloria turned around hoping she wouldn't have to be part of the conversation.
"Uh...plenty. I'm sorry about miss Dean."
"She...you know, she doesn't have to be sad like this. Do you think maybe you could use your magic to make it so that Morgan is able to have children?" Derrick asked.
"I could. But maybe I should tell her about the ring and stuff, that way it might not be too weird." Gloria thought aloud.
