Jeff studied Taylor's competition. The basketball players were taller, the wrestlers were more muscular, the football players were huge. Which type of growth should he focus on for Taylor. It would be easier if Taylor's classmates were wimpier than he was. Hmmmm, now that is an idea! I wonder if I can, thought Jeff.
As Taylor and the other students concentrated on their biology test, Jeff concentrated on the young men in the classroom. Muscles snapped, bones popped as they contracted and shrank, fabrics rewove themselves to fit their wearers' new dimensions. Jeff concentrated harder and harder. He expanded his mind to the school and beyond.
The bell rang. Pencils were set down. Taylor was embarrassed, he jersey was soaked with perspiration. He wondered how he could hope to compete against the big jocks on all those teams. He felt a tap on his upper arm. He turned and did a double take.
He knew it was Jeremy, but now he was a half head shorter than Taylor, and while he filled out his letterman's jacket, he was definitely 10-20 lbs lighter than Taylor.
"Dude, I thought you were the biggest player on the football team?"
"Taylor, I was until you joined! Ha! We're going to the Championships for sure with a big dude like you on the team! Right guys!" Jeremey shouted to the other players standing nearby. Most were a head shorter than Taylor.
Taylor whistled. It was like being in Wonderland. He didn't remember stepping through a looking glass, but the world sure changed. The desks seemed smaller, even the bio teacher was smaller.
Jeff was exhausted, but in awe of his abilities. He wonder how far his powers had reached as Taylor walked down the hallway, a head above the crowd now.
