The first turned themselves at Mr. McAdams, a sad but grateful smile on their face. "Thank you for your assistance. It seem you can, and did, learn from your errors. As such, instead of taking your soul away, I'll devise another punishment for you. First, your parental wrights over Emily and Katherine are revoked. Secondly, since Stan Fenton don't have parents anymore, you are to take care of him like he was your own son."
"Thanks for your magnanimity, Ô first." Answered a contrite Mr. McAdams.
"I would add a third part," vindictively added your mother "our weeding being cancelled, regardless of how long we were together. Oh, and the girls taking on my maiden name, Lahïla, rather than being McAdams."
"I don't know" you intervened, surprising yourself, "He seems to really want to change his way. I know it's not my call but… There is something about sharing a name with someone who, after loosing his ways for so long, try to go back on the right path. Don't you think so, dad?"
That last word prompted Mr. McAdams to give you his first gesture of affection ever. He hugged you tenderly, while tear of joy flowed freely on his face, happy you were forgiving him.
