As you finally enter your room, you let yourself fall on your lavish bed.
You look at the wall on the other side, on it is a shelf that exist with only one purpose: Exposing to yourself your first ever pair of mechanical wings, the one that changed your life so much. You were so young when you got them, they needed to be changed several times as you grew. And while all your other wings were either scrapped for spare-parts, or melted for raw materials, you were never able to discard those ones, regardless of their ridiculously simple design compared of your current ones.
You were about to let yourself drift to sleep when someone knocked on your door. "Enter !" you responded, exasperated. One of the palace guard enter, informing you that Lilith the 26th had summoned all her daughters to the throne room. "What does mother want?" you wonder.
Not having much choice, you get up, groaning, and let the guard escort you to destination.
Arriving to the throne room, you see that all your sisters are already there. All the surviving ones, that is. You take you place beside the others, and your mother start speaking. "As you already know, my expiration date will occur soon" she state, disinterestingly. "So it's time for me to choose my final successor. As you know, its usually the most deceiving and conniving who inherit the crown."
"Alas, I must admit that, when it come to scheming, most of you are a disappointment. You loose your time on childish, short-time plans! Thankfully, there is one among you that have long-term vision."
"There is?" You think. "I wonder which of my sister it is…"
"She made the commoners love her so much, naming anyone but her would cause an uprising!" Proudly announce your mother. For your part, you are rather curious who made herself so loved, and how.
"Congratulation, Menrva-" Your mother can't finish. As soon as you hear your name, you run away, crying. You go directly to your secret workshop. Thankfully, your family and the guards are too stunned by your reaction to follow you.
Once there, you hurriedly dress yourself, load your trusty satchel with as much tools and parts as you can, and goes to the holographic recorder you made last week, making a message for your mother. Loading the message into a spherical, golf-ball sized hologram and sound diffuser you teleport to your room, while you goes away on ‘foot’."

As soon as she sensed your energy creating a portal toward your room, Queen Lilith the 26th ran there, not even thinking you would send an object there rather than yourself, nor to note from were the portal was opened. She reacted exactly like you predicted she would.
She expected to find you on your bed, but all she found was a mysterious ball. Cautious, she called a guard to take care of it. As soon as said guard took it, your message played. "All I ever wanted, all I ever cared about, was to tinker. And if my tinkering could help my kin, all the better. I always thought I had no real shot at becoming the next queen, and I was perfectly fine with it. After all, as Lilith the 27th, I wouldn't have the time to tinker. That's why…" Your recorded self paused to take a breath through a knotted throat "…why, since our people want to force me on the throne, I decided to exile myself to Earth, knowing very well I probably wont live long once there."
