Joel sighed, tugging at his shirt. It was boiling I’m here! Whoever would want a room this hot!? He moved further into the room, deciding against the urge to dive into the pool. Instead, he turned into a doorway that lead down into a room,
It seemed to be essentially a locker room. Just under a dozen lockers lined the wall on the right, with a row of wooden seatings in the rooms centre, and a row of showers on the left. Also, and Joel was happy about this, it was a lot cooler in here. He stretched, managing to catch his breath on the seating.
“What’s up with this place...And how am I gonna get that door open...”
He got to his feet, and considered his situation. He was trapped in the changing room of a strangely warm spa cross pool inside an old house with working electricity that had been abandoned years! Something, obviously, wasn’t right. Joel remembered all those stories he’d hear round the campfire with Chris.
He again frowned, leaning back. It occurred that he was drenched now, his clothing definitely ruined. There is one locker that seemed to be unlocked. Maybe it’s worth opening it and finding something new.
