“Oh my…”
Anna’s cheeks redden as she felt Eric’s abs. It was clear he earned it from a lifetime of swimming underwater as a merman. Her fingers explored his lean chest and poked and prodded his muscles.
Eric’s mouth grew into a grin. It was almost surreal to have this human woman being so fascinated with his status as a merman. Of course, his body didn't stand out too much compared to other mermen, but Anna was likely never so close to a man with a swimmer's body like his before - Making her easier to impress than the typical mermaid.
Eric began to wrap his muscular arms around Anna until she retracted her hand and started to swim away.
Before Eric could complain, Anna started to speak. "I'm sorry. But I'm a bit too… Clothed up to be in the sea for long."
"What do you mean?"
Anna started to climb back up on a rock. "I mean I should probably take off these wet clothes. They're too big and dead weight to me in the water. Don't worry, I'll be back soon!"
Eric nodded silently. He watched intently as Anna made her way across the rocks. The coldness of the water mixed with her wet clothes made Anna look like a sympathetic fashion disaster, but Eric's main concern was hoping she didn't run away from him.
Getting rejected by Clia was brutal enough. Another rejection from a girl would give him all the self-justification he needed to dive back down into the water, find his trident, and impale that fucking merman in the heart for ruining his love life.
But Anna did stop once she made her toes touched the sand. With her clothes dripping in sea water, Anna was eager to shed her clothes.
Off went her shirt. Then Anna carefully laid down her pair of pants that contained her phone. Just as she was about to take off her bra, Anna noticed how tight it felt. Looking down, she could sense it didn't feel right, her breasts seemed a bit bigger than before.
Anna was always considered herself an average girl. The type of girl who sips on lattes and writes her essays at Starbucks. The kind of girl who isn't pretty enough to be popular, yet not ugly enough to be bullied - She felt herself to be perfectly average, at least until now.
Anna looked further down to see her body has gone through some more changes. Most notably in her slimmer belly and longer hair. She was a bit confused by this.
"Was my body always like this? I don't get it. Have I let college consume me so much that I never even noticed that I was a late bloomer until now?" Anna's thoughts raced around her head.
Eric could see the concerned look on Anna's face and swam to her until his body was near the edge where the beach's water met sand.
Before he could say anything, Eric's attention was captured by Anna's body, with his eyes especially interested in her lovely legs, more specifically at the parts being covered up by her remaining underwear.
Anna turned to see Eric enjoying the view of her body. One voice told to find a way to escape before her body started to experience more changes The other told her to remain calm and remember that she was being desired by a merman right now.
Her mind tried to rationalize this.
Sure, it's odd that her boobs are bigger and her hair is longer, but what other girl hasn't gone through this before? It's not like she was always a short-haired flat-chested angel until now.
Plus, there was currently a lean and muscular merman literally right in front of her. A living mythical being just a few feet away. She would be crazy not to at least talk to him more and explore his body.
Besides, she still had questions on what lead to Eric getting a bruise.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting, Eric. I just have a lot on my mind right now." Anna said as she approached the water.
"It's fine. I have a lot on my mind, too." Eric said as he lent out his hand to the land maiden.
