The next day, Monica comes up to visit Damon's home. She knocks on the door a few times to find no answer.
When Monica tries to open the door, it suddenly opens, Damon hadn't bothered to lock it.
"Oh my, am I intruding?" Monica thought to herself as she stepped inside.
"I hope Damon doesn't mind me entering right now."
Damon lived in a very nice home. Comfy chairs, a clean floor, and a big television were the causes of many nights she and Damon spent together.
It was rare that the two of them ever went out on a date, it wasn't as if they didn't love each other - they did. It was just better to stay inside and make out while a movie plays in the background. The two were very fond of fantasy and romance movies, so making out to them didn't seem out of place.
Yesterday, however, they did go on a date to a tasty restaurant together. The food was delicious and stuffed the two full. The only thing that stood out as "wrong" in the date was that the restaurant was very close to a beach.
Monica once told Damon that being near large bodies of water in public really made her uncomfortable. Luckily, Damon accepted that and even said he felt the same thing. For some reason, water was a touchy subject for the lovebirds.
Nevertheless, Monica looked around to find that Damon is nowhere to be seen.
"Damon! Where are you?" She hollered.
As soon as she said that, she heard a bunch of splashing coming from the bathroom.
Monica walked toward the door and heard a female voice, "Wait, don't open the door. Please!"
Monica opened and gasped at the sight.
There was a mermaid right in Damon's bathtub. She had long blonde hair, a pair of large breasts covered in red seashells that bobbled in the water, and a large 6-foot-long red tail in the place of where her legs should've been. Her long tailfins were curled and quivering to the sight of a human.
"Damon?" Monica said quietly.
The mermaid had a look of embarrassment and confusion on her face. Scarlett was ashamed to have her secret exposed so easily, yet she expected Monica to freak out, not be quiet.
"I have a lot of explaining to do, don't I?" Scarlett spoke.
Monica nodded. "Yes. But it's okay. I have some explaining to do to as well."
