There is an old story about a mysterious song that plays on full moon nights. While almost everyone cannot hear anything there are a chosen few, maybe one or two, who hear the song calling to them. The affected enter a trance like state and head towards the source of the music. What they find when they reach the source is a mystery. Some say the affected are spirited away somewhere, changed into wild beasts, have their wildest wishes granted, or are twisted against their will into something entirely inhuman. Every full moon the songs plays in a different town, drawing that one or two. This legend has come to be called the Traveling Night Music.
On a clear and warm spring night, under a Kindly moon, the soft inviting tones of the night music began to drift into the little forest town of Northwood. The notes seemed to radiate from the deepest part of the pine forest, beckoning it's chosen to come unto it and be received.
