It had been a week since Gloria’s spell to help Ms. Dean. Morgan has gone to the doctor after school that fateful day for an examination. The doctor had explained it would take a week to determine Morgan’s fertility, leading to a tense week for the young couple. As Gloria now made her way through the halls she couldn’t help but peak into Ms. Deans classroom.
Derrick and Morgan now apprehensively gazed at the envelope in her hands. “So you haven’t checked,” Derrick asked. Morgan shook her head no, biting her lip nervously. “Hey Listen,” Derrick said softly, taking his girlfriends hand. “No matter what I still love you and I do want to have a future with you.”
“Derrick are you proposing to me,” Morgan exclaimed, causing the mans eyes to grow wide. “What now,” he said nervously. “Um, I, Ugh. I mean, I thought about it, but um..you see I don’t even have a ring. Plus I was thinking of doing it somewhere special. And I don’t know, I mean...marriage?” Morgan smirked placing a finger on her boyfriends lips. “You’re babbling Derrick,” she smiled. “And yeah I know, it’s a big step but don’t think you ever have to do anything fancy for me. I love you no matter what.” Breathing a sigh of relief the two teachers now anxiously stared down at the envelope before Morgan tore into it. As she unfolded the letter and read she began to cry.
“Morgan,” Derrick said tentatively. The auburn haired teacher looked up at him, a smile on her face. “I can have kids Derrick,” she cried before launching herself at him. Derrick smiled, hugging her tightly as he whispered I love you. Gloria smiled, she would congratulate the two of them later but felt the need to give the two some space for right now. As she approached her locker Gloria could only smile, having helped a friend a need.
“Gloria Hey,” Sarah hollered. Gloria turned to see Heather and Sarah running towards them, their friend Allison (Yuriko) in tow. The three freshmen appeared quite energetic as they sprinted towards her. “Hey girls what’s up,” she said. The girls screeched to a halt, trying to catch their breath. “We kind of need your help,” Heather said. “Our dad finally asked Ms. Haskins out. Apparently their supposed to be going to some restaurant and then a movie.”
“That’s great,” Gloria said happily. “But why do you need my help.”
“Well,” Heather said sheepishly. “Our dad is super nervous and he has no idea now to dress or even what to give Ms. Haskins. Was kind of hoping you could stop by tonight to help us get him ready.”
“I guess I could,” Gloria shrugged. Sarah and Heather squealed with delight hugging Gloria tightly. “Awesome,” Sarah exclaimed. “Allison already said she would come by to help get our dad ready but since you already know her it would really help him. He’s kind of a dork.”
Gloria snickered, thinking about how Maddie Haskins was a bit of a dork as well. “Don’t worry I’ll help you get him ready.”
As Gloria now headed towards Sarah and Heathers house after school, with Felicia in tow, she was trying to figure out the best possible ideas for Malcolm and Maddie. “You know what would be really sweet,” Felicia stated. “Giving Ms. Haskins a free gym membership.”
“Maybe for her birthday,” Gloria added. “But this is a first date. Flowers and her favorite candy should be good enough.” As the two teens knocked on Sarah and Heathers door they were surprised to see Yuriko answer the door. “Oh hey Allison,” Gloria smiled.
Yuriko smiled nervously as Gloria and Felicia entered the house. “Hi,” she said. “Mr. Dimico is upstairs. Sarah and Heather are trying to find an outfit for him to wear. We might have to help him out with that though if you don’t mind.”
“Sounds like My speciality,” Felicia said as she made her way towards the stairs. As she vanished upstairs Yuriko now found herself alone with Gloria. “So everything going alright Allison,” Gloria asked. “See you made friends with Sarah and Heather.”
“Yeah school has been going well so far,” Yuriko stated. “Heather and Sarah have really made me feel comfortable.” Gloria smiled as Yuriko gazed up the stairs. She had knowledge of the spell Gloria had cast returning Sarah and Heathers youth, as well as turning Malcolm into an adult. After that she had used her own magic to create a friendship between herself and Sarah and Heather. By becoming friends with the twins she could more easily keep an eye on Gloria and the others.
“Glad to hear that,” Gloria smiled. “Being the new kid can be tough, glad you were able to make some friends.” Yuriko could only nod as the two teens now headed towards the stairs. “Yeah you have no idea,” Yuriko sighed. “Let’s just hope things go well. Now, let’s go get Mr. Dimico ready.” Gloria nodded as they now ascended the stairs, hoping that Malcolm and Maddie’s date would go well.
