Let’s go back, Carter never touched the stone. Instead his sister got it:
Carter reached into his pocket and grabbed his phone, he put his hands in the other pocket. He had not taken his gloves off, “Penny! I’ve got a thing,” Carter yells across the house.
Through the door of his room, his sister sticks her head out, “and... what is it?” She said in her typical 12 year old sass.
“I found this on my walk home,” he held up a semi-transparent Stone, “catch,” he threw it to her. She caught it.
“Wow this is awesome! Thank you Carter,” she said whilst only looking at the stone. She walked down the hall to her room. She opened up a drawer, took out a box next to a few near identical ones. She began to open it, revealing a fairly large collection of rocks, before she heard a female voice behind her.
“Sorry Mom, what do you want?” She looked up for just a moment, she saw a tall woman with fairly short blue hair and bright pink lips. Her hand dropped the rock at this point, she didn’t even see the woman for more than 2 seconds before she disappeared. She seemed to phase out of reality. Penny quickly shot up, she looked around everywhere for where she went, but couldn’t work it out. Until she looked at the box. The stone was glowing lightly, blue, the same blue that the woman’s hair was glowing. She grabbed the rock and looked back up, there she was.
“Hello, Penny. My name is... well I don’t actually have a name. Hold on one moment. I have identified a name from an alternate reality where your brother is my master. My name is Quinn.”
“Your... master?” Penny said, “what... are you?”
“Why I am like what the humans call, a genie. I am the culmination of ancient magic over the years, I have adapted to modern culture in the form I present today. I can change form if you desire,”
Without really asking questions like most people would, Penny believed in magic, she immediately asked Quinn, “what kind of forms?”
“Anything, I can become the last thought you had,” Quinn’s eyes suddenly went white, then she began to change. Her physique became more like a man, her face changed. Her hair became ever so slightly longer. Quinn had become a dream boy that Penny had dreamt of in her head for the last 4 years. In front of her stood her all time crush, her exact type. Quinn said, “I sense this decision will have a satisfactory outcome,” Quinn said as she leant and kissed Penny on the lips lightly. Penny’s whole face went red.
“Now,” Quinn said without warning, transforming back to her natural form, “let me adjust to someone you’d rather speak to,” her body began to shrink, regress to around 12 years old, like Penny.
“You can do anything?” Penny said,
“Yes. As I said before. I am like a Genie, however I do not grant just 3 wishes. I do not even grant wishes. I can change reality however would be most desired to my master. Which is you, or rather, which will be you. Ever since your brother caused quite the disruption in another timeline. I am now loyal to you, and you alone. However you must agree to this, do you, Penny, accept to being my master. To control whichever and whatever changes I make to reality.”
“Ummm... you mean like, you’re my slave. You do what I want, except I can change anything, like I can ask you to make anyone anything?”
“Yes, Penny,”
“Yes. I accept the offer you just gave me because I get a personal... life changer, and also a new friend,”
“I’m happy to be of your service Penny. What do you want first?”
