That energetic knocking scare you and you don't dare to open, but of course it doesn't stop. If anything it's getting worst. Then is added the panicked voice of your sister, a voice identical to the one you now own. "Max, you were in there for hours! Are you alright?!? Maxine!!!"
"So, Amber is calling me Maxine, instead of Maximilian? And she sound worried…" you think before hesitantly opening up.
As you go to open the door, you feel a slight headache appear. The more you open it, the stronger your headache become, until it's head-splitting. You don't realize it, probably because of the pain, but your memories rewrite themselves.
Once the door is fully open, your headache instantly disappear. "Sorry Ambee, I had a splitting headache. I took a Tylenol and was waiting for it to go away while I prepared for tonight. I didn't want to worry you."
Amber and you are identical twins and, as far as you're concerned, always were. The two of you are closer than any couple of twins ever were. You have the exactly same tastes, to the point it make you dress identically (except on a test days, you don't want your teachers to think your cheating), even your friends and parents have a hard time telling you apart.
Most twins don't like when people mistake them for each others, but you do. In fact, the most peoples are confused about which of you two is who, the happier you are. And when it come from people that know you well? It absolutely delight you.
If only you could find a boyfriend who was okay with dating the two of you… Or better, meeting twin boys who love being mistaken for each others as much as Amber and you do.
