It was only for a moment. You were welcomed into a soothing world of sleep. There were sudden, brief flashes of images. The forest, the stench of body oder, something old, claws and a hideous rising feeling. In the dream, you sped forward and dove into something warm and living. In a moment, it was torn in two and you sank your teeth into it. You stirred, opening you eyes. It was dark and the fire still roared insidiously. Fire, the fire! The smoke smelled off, wrong and stained with something.
You shook yourself awake and scanned for Jude. He laid across from you, fast asleep. You clumsily grabbed onto him and dragged him away from the fire, stringing to move in your still sleepy legs. Eventually you moved away from the fire and quickly turned to Jude.

Slowly, Jude let out a dull moan, groaning again as he moved up. Already you felt cold within moments of leaving the fire.
“Wha...what happened? Where’s Skye?”
“No clue. Listen, I don’t know what’s happening, but we need to move.”
“I had the weirdest dream. I saw a forest, some sort of claw...”
“So did I,” you say grimly.
A twig snapped behind you. You look around, and saw nothing in the darkness.
“What was that?”
“No clue.”
Carefully you and Jude rose up, shacking the last of the sleepiness. Something still didn’t sit right with you. Was it the strange feeling in the pit of your stomach.
“We better find Skye,” said Jude,
“Yeah,” was all you could respond, itching yourself absentmindedly.
Together, you slowly entered the darkness of the woods.
“Skye!?” You cried out.
“Skyeee!? Where are you?” Jude shouted. Soon you were sounded by darkness and woods. Every random tree snap made you jump. You did you best to ignore it, until you heard something from right behind you. Jude froze, trembling. You both made eye contact and then slowly turned around....
