"Whew" said Liz, with a slightly deeper voice than before, "That was a good one!"
She sat up looked herself over, flexing her arms. A smirk appeared at the corner of her larger mouth as her larger muscles bulged beneath her skin.
"A lot more horsiness than I was expecting" she continued, "but it should go down before Friday's track meet!"
Track meet? Jeff thought. I thought she just worked in her family's stables most nights?
Jeff caught a flicker of motion at the edge of his vision. Looking down beside himself, he was shocked to see a green and white track jacket with his school's logo was now draped over his desk chair, seemingly appearing out of thin air. Looking back to Liz, he watched as her clothing shifted. Her jean shorts tightened as the fabric changed to spandex, a green color washing out the denim blue as the waistband rose higher. While this pair no longer looked in danger of snapping off, they still looked too small for her Horse-DNA enhanced ass. The nub that was her tail was especially noticeable. Her flannel shirt twisted itself into a white spandex crop top, its short sleeves straining to wrap around her larger biceps.
Catching Jeff's gaze Liz said, "I really need to start coming here in my larger running clothes, one day I'll get a big dose and BOOM, no more pants!"
She laughed at her own words, and started to walk over towards the desk on her longer feet.
"Hahahheeeiigh" the last few syllables degenerated into something similar to a horse's neigh, but she seemed not to notice. She picked up her jacket and pulled it on. It was long enough to cover her tail nub, but did little to hide her new stature.
"Thanks again, you're such a good friend" she said, absentmindedly leaning over to give him a lick on the cheek,"You wouldn't believe how good my times have gotten since we started this."
She peered over Jeff's shoulder at the computer screen, where the Chronivac program was open.
"What's that?" she said, looking at it quizzically.
"You don't remember?" said Jeff, shocked that she was taking all of this in stride.
She shook her head, still looking confused. "No, some kind of programming homework? I remember you talking about that computer class with Ms. Davis."
Puzzled, Jeff looked back on the program and his eyes stopped on the Reality settings:
Reality Adjustment: World (Y)
Mental Reality Adjustment: World (Y), Users (N)
Jeff thought he understood. Only he was listed as a user, so Liz had seemingly forgotten about the program once reality adjusted to his new ability.
"Y-Yeah..." Jeff said slowly, "just a project for Davis, I'll tell you more about it when I'm closer to finishing it."
"Cool!" said Liz, "Well, I gotta go, horses still need tending back home. Can't wait for the other track girls to see me tomorrow, they're gonna be so jealous I got some changes first this week!" She gave her larger rear a small smack with a nicker, "I bet Todd will love this too!"
With that, Liz walked over towards Jeff's door and stuffed her feet into a pair of small green flip-flops. Her toes stuck over the front and her heel out past the back, but they looked serviceable enough to get her home. She opened the door and left with a friendly wave.
Jeff's heart sank a little at her last remark. Liz could only mean Todd Rivers, the quarterback for the school football team. Apparently the reality adjustment had moved Liz from being a shy girl and into the popular crowd. Looks like his crush would just remain nothing more than that for the moment.
Jeff looked around, and wondered what to do next.
