Holly opens the door to see a admittedly very pretty looking auburn haired teen girl hitting her head on the top of the bunker bed. Immediately worry for the girl pushes aside the strangeness of this whole situation as she drops her bag and goes over to see if the girl is alright.
“Oh gosh, are you okay?” Comes the concerned voice of Holly as she studies the dazed girl. She looks so confused as she holds her head, clearly dizzy.
_______
You are you clutching your head tight soon after hitting it when you fully comprehend the new arrival. Looking up you see the concerned faced of a girl around your age, her blonde hair tied in a ponytail
“Who... what.. who are you..” you manage to make our, your voice feminine and girly, shocking you at its tone.
“I’m Holly” the girl answers quickly “I just sure you hit your head, are you alright? Do you need me to get the counsellors Gracie?” She continues on in a worried tone.
“No... no... I’m fine...” you say as you nurse your head, the confusion is still present but you don’t want the items you snuck in to get confiscated or anythin- wait... what did she just call you?
“Huh... what did you call me?” You ask, Although for some reason you sound much less confused at the name then you should.
Holly looks confused “Gracie, it’s the name on your name tag. Are you sure you didn’t hit you head too badly...?”
Startled, you look at where Holy has been looking to find that a name tag identifying you as Gracie is indeeed present on lanyard. The more you look at it the more and more it seems familiar. Some part of you knows your name is something else but with your dizziness from hitting your head you can’t recall any other name, and this new girl is looking more concerned.
You rub your head, your headache finally subsiding enough to one with a response.
You proceed to giggle surprisingly naturally as you respond “Well duh! It my name of course” you say in as girly a tome as you can possibly muster . Relying mostly on your knowledge of how they’ve spoken in games and videos you’ve seen online. You may not know how this has happened, but you can’t let this girl think you’re crazy. Plus for some reason it’s hard to be alarmed at these changes.
“But you seemed so confused about it just a moment ago” the girl points out, still somewhat concerned. You mentally facepalm as you wish you were more discreet about your confusion eariler. You need to play this off, and the best way you can do this is take a book out of an rpg and play this role.
“Oh that? Yeah sorry I didn’t catch what you said the first time. Head was kind of dizzy” you say make up a reasonable excuse for your eariler words. Holly seems to accept this and then moves on back to your head trauma.
“Are you sure you’re okay...? How did you hit your head up there anyway?” She asks as she inspects your head.
You quickly think of an answer. You remember playing a game the other day in which a female character was deathly afraid of spiders and other ‘creepy crawlys’ so you decide to go with that. You don’t really like spiders that much yourself anyway.
Gaining a scared look on your face you explain “I thought I felt a spider on my arm, probably just some dust though now that I think about it”
The girl seems understanding “Oh that makes sense. My so-“ she suddenly pauses to blink, for a moment you almost thought she was going to say son, but she’s way too young for that “sister is super afraid of spiders. Although given where we are you should probably get used to bugs” she finishes up.
“Haha... yeah. Anyway... uh it’s nice to meet you Holly” you say as you try to replicate a smile you’ve seen a girl do on a video before, apparently to go effect judging by Holly’s reaction. She shakes your hand as she respond “And it’s nice to meet you too Gracie”
The more you’re called that the more natural it seems. You head may be mostly fine now but you still can’t recall any other name than Gracie.
“It seems like you’ve already claimed bottom bunk, so I guess I get top bunk then” she says cheerfully as she grabs her bag.
Oh right... the roommate thing. Well hopefully this girl would be fine with gaming, although at this point you have much bigger concerned, namely of turning into a girl. Although for some reason despite the glaring size of this issue, you struggle to be overly concerned, as if it’s neing blunted out.
