As November gave way to December Jack and Kellie found themselves trying to adjust to their new situation. Since becoming pregnant Jack's child, Kellie found herself interacting with Lilith far more than she wished. The demon witch insisted on Kellie going to her and Circes amusement park. Thankfully (or unthankfully depending on your opinion) Claufia and Mika would accompany her. While Kellie was now lectured and taught dark magic by Lilith and Circe, Mika and Claudia would enjoy the wonders of the park.
"My grandchild will receive a proper magical education," Lilith had stated haughtily. "Therefore you shall be instructed in both mine and Circes magical ways." Kellie felt squamish as Lilith and Circe taught her the darker parts of magic. Torture, death, transformation, domination of the will. These were the lessons Kellie now found herself studying. While she picked them up quickly, she did feel the need to shower afterwards.
Jack was faring no better as Merlin now began instructing Jack. Jack's lessons, like Kellies were uncomfortable for the young warlock. Jack, with Baba Yaga carefully watching, now learned about watching timelines, enchanting items, and guiding those who came into possession of said items into using them properly. Jack, like Kellie, was a quick study. Despite Merlins stern gaze he was learning, although he suspected sometimes that Babas presense their was simply to flirt with Merlin.
As the two teens now found themselves with a rare day off they sighed. "So are you as exhausted as I am," Kellie asked.
"Ugh I ache in parts of my body I didn't think could ache," he groaned, cracking his back. "Merlin and Baba have been putting me through the ringer. You know, when they're not shamelessly flirting with eachother."
"No wonder hes been in such a good mood lately," Kellie laughed. "By the way, your mom is freaking me out. Thank god Bob has been around to make sure I dont exhaust myself."
"Well torture and pain is kind of Bob's m.o.," Jack shrugged as he thought of the anthro zebra demon. "Hes actually a pretty cool guy, if you can get over the fact it's his job to torture evil souls for all eternity."
Kellie could only nod, trying to clear the though of what Bob did for a living. "So anyway," she said, trying to change the subject. "Two things. One your coming with me to see Katiie. Two, this pregnancy is going really weird right now."
Jack raised an eyebrow as he examined Kellie. "What are you talking about," he asked. "You look exactly the same."
Kellie gave Jack a wry smile as she now waved a hand over her stomach. Jack's draw now dropped as he watched the teen girls stomach swell into a very obvious baby bump. "Apparently considering the magical nature of this kid the pregnancy is moving faster," she grumbled. "Right now I'm first trimester, borderline second. Oh and by the way went to the doctors for an exam. Found out the sex of the kid."
"Whoa," Jack exclaimed before frowning. "Let me guess, it's a girl."
"I wish," Kellie grumbled. "But, it looks like your getting a son this time."
"A son," Jack whispered. For the first time since he found out Kellie was pregnant he found himself overjoyed. "Hey focus Jack," Kellie yelled, knocking Jack from his thoughts. "Look know this some super macho guy thing but we need to get going."
"Right," Jack said as he watched Kellie begin to cast the spell that would take them to Katie's timeline. "Um Kel isnt traveling between the timelines bad in your...um..condition."
"You would think do but it turns out considering the magical nature of this kid its actually safer," she said. "In fact, I'll probably be able to stay in that timeline for awhile without any problems. Kinda had dad help me with research on that."
"Probably because it's a boy in there," Jack said, a smug smirk spreading across his face. Kellie could only roll her eyes, shoving Jack. "Dont be an ass," she groaned.
As the two teens now vanished into the other timeline, they now tried to think of an explanation for all of this to their eldest daughter.
