James stood up on the table and looked around in disbelief at what had become of him. Mundane household items like the salt and pepper shakers now towered above like great, imposing structures. Elspeth was the size of some villanous, fairy tale giant and the dolls house was, well, the size of a house.
"Well don't just stand there" the witches' shrill voice boomed as if from on high "take a look around your new home"
Scared to disobey, James silently walked towards the dolls house and reluctantly stepped through the front door. The following few moments were completely surreal. Everything in the house was scaled perfectly to his current size but remained toylike in appearance, wooden or plastic with a slightly creepy Victorian aesthetic. It felt clean, but not unused though it appeared he was alone in there.
As he moved from room to room it seemed his temporary (he hoped) abode was rather generously sized and had everything a normal house would - a kitchen, bathroom, two spacious bedrooms he could presumably take his pick from. Perhaps most surprisingly, everything was fully functioning - the bath, the toilet, the stove and a lada full with basic yet edible food. This was in some senses welcome but also gave the worrying impression that this structure has been intended as a long term home for a miniturised human like himself.
James eagerly made his way to the wardrobe in the hope of something to wear even if it meant dressing like an old fashioned doll, but it was clear Elspeth had intended him to remain naked.
Exploring the house further James made his way up a set of rickety but functional stairs into a kind of makeshift attic. This room was by far the most intriguing in the house - full of potions, mysterous magical looking gadgets and books literally labelled 'spells'.
Elapeth wasn't stupid, and neither was Janes, so the idea that he could use the contents of this room to improve his situation seemed far fetched. It had probably been left like this deliberately, possibly to trick him into making his situation worse for Elspeth's amusement. Although he figured it couldn't hurt to investigateva little further..
