So there was Jennifer Livingstone on one side of the door and her worried divorced mother June Livingstone on the other
side of the door.They were in a 1940s vintage bungalow and the
thing about these old houses is the floor plan can place
closets in a bedroom adjacent to each another,separated by a thin wall.
So on the one side was the wondrous mechanical sorting/sewing
closet machine going through Jennifers transformed costumes
and on the other side lay Junes still normal hand me down clothes a mere quarter inch of plaster away from that busy curious machine that Kyle had cursed into existence.
So when June heard the sound of something breaking inside
her own bedroom she forgot about her daughters lateness and
headed to her own room to investigate the noise.
Which gave Jennifer the opportunity to open her own bedroom door,rush
downstairs,grab her schoolwork and textbooks and rush out the
door and head for school and possibly a nasty confrontation with Kyle Perkins.
Which meant Jennifer never swa the events going on in her
mother June's bedroom.
Basically when June flung open her own closet door she was
horrified to see that nine mechanical clawed arms were busy sorting out her transforming clothes,which were rapidly transforming into various dragon,both anthro and feral, costumes
in all manner of sizes,shapes and colours.
Basically several pages worth of Town Curse legalese that
Kyle Perkins had uttered on the telephone was having a simpler
interpretation on June Livingstones clothes .
June just stood there,speechless,mouth open in a silent scream
before her voice came back.
She screamed.
In a flash four of those mechanical clawed horrors noticed the
human and leaping out of the closet seized June and redressed her in a dragon costume suitable for someone who is screaming.
June soon stopped screaming as the mechanical device rammed a form fitting dragon mask over her head.
Mainly June shut up because she could feel her tongue start to lengthen and fork at the same time the rest of her head reshaped itself into the head of a dragon.Her snout pushed out,her teeth fell out as sharper dragon teeth grew into place and the rapidly emerging dragon could feel her finned ears,wings,tail,spikes and muscles shift,swell and alter into existence.
The dragon,who weighed perhaps a half ton,just stood there
as the mechanical device tidyied up her and there to make sure
June was a dragon in thought as well as in body.
Once the device was satisfied it folded back into the closet,the closet door closed and the dragon was left to figure out what to
do with itself.....
