Once Jim was sure the coast was clear, he pulled the balloon out of his pocket and blew it up. "Restore my size to normal," he said, and then let out the balloon the entire way. In a flash, he was back to his normal size, the pillow he was under knocked off the bed due to his sudden growth. And as before, his clothes and the balloon grew with him.
Jim strolled downstairs, where his sister was watching TV. "Where have YOU been?" she asked, in between mouthfuls of cereal.
"I've been right here," said Jim.
"Nuh-uh," snarked Judy. "I was in your room and you weren't there."
"What were you doing in my room?" asked Jim.
Judy was quiet.
A couple of hours later, their parents came home. Jim sat through dinner and conversation with his parents almost unable to stand it, waiting for tomorrow to come so he could shrink again with the balloon. He could go anywhere. This would be so cool!
That night in bed, Jim stared at the ceiling, so excited that he was unable to sleep. Where should he go to try shrinking again?
