Above the forest, moon light tries vainly to pierce the ancient canopy, as you and Honey begin the long trip back to the heart of the forest. You have no clue what this part of the forest looks like, or how to navigate it, but you can feel your tree pulling you back to it and you follow it.
For a time, you walk in silence together, delighting in the simple joy of walking naked through the forest at night, unafraid and feeling completely at home. All around you animals and birds go about their business, unbothered by you as they would be humans. It’s magical.

Extending your senses, you detect a pair of squirrels arguing in a branch. A dispute over a mate between two males. One had laid claim to the female but the other had stolen her and impregnated her. Gods, you could almost understand them as if they spoke words.
Stopping under the pair, you ask Honey to wait with a gesture, then turn your attention to the tree before you. Pressing your hands against its’ cool, rough bark you let the magic flow through you, into the tree and direct it into the squirrels. Both freeze as if struck dead for a moment, then exploded into motion. You burst into laughter, startling Honey who had been watching you intently.
“What?” she says. “I- “
“I was testing my powers,” you explain, interrupting her. “Making sure nothing was wrong.”
“What did you do?” she asks. Her eyes dart up to the squirrels now nosily fucking one another.
“Nothing much. I just turned one naughty boy into an equally naughty girl and gave another a nice big tool to train her with,” you say, still laughing. That was one way to put it anyway.
