"ah, you four must be this extra long group I was told about?" this late 30s intelligent looking merman remarked as the girls exited the tunnel from the building. "you the guide for us?" Katie inquired. "indeed. name's Ronald and together we will go over various activities guests can undertake, go over the kinds of meals merfolk have most often and determine sleeping arrangements" the merman explained. "we won't be sleeping out in the open?" Molly questioned in disappointment, having had a love of camping and the outdoors since toddlerhood. "you'll be shown the standard arrangements before the decision is made I assure you" Roland kindly stated before he escorted the girls off.
Soon Roland showed the girls about the base area of the merfolk section and it's activities; various underwater sports and a number of land ones like tennis and softball adapted for undersea play, a cooking and eating area able to do various foods (mostly the fish variety), plus a special medical centre for treatment of injuries and illnesses. the last of which as they passed the girls noticed a crying teenage mermaid wearing a bra made of seashells and seaweed while a merman they assumed was her father trying to make a point to the medic.
"can I ask what's happening with that pair back their of is it confidential?" Jade asked as Roland led them elsewhere. "poor girl only came with her dad for a two week stay but now thanks to a teenage Keeper member she has to remain much longer" Roland sadly answered. "the lady that transformed us spoke about them as well... group of employees and former guests that work to get more natural-born merfolk about" Amber remembered. "employees are merfolk security and very good at their job, plus there are board members of the resort who actually want a vast expansion of formerly imaginary creatures to exist" Roland explained.
Eventually Roland showed the girls an area flooded with clamshells big enough to contain a person (maybe two) and at the nearest displayed incredible ease at opening it "these are what you'll be sleeping in" he announced. "AH COOL, THIS REALLY SAYS BEING MERMAIDS" Amber called in joy as to her the inside was very cosy looking and inviting. "and they can be opened and closed from with" Katie remarked as she tested another clamshell. "so your all Ok bar your red-haired friend?" Roland asked. "I was disappointed over not sleeping in the open. I don't mind this" Molly assured. "fair enough" Roland accepted "just remember to be careful of the Keeper Clan".
That night while Molly and Katie were asleep and sealed within their clamshells. "can't sleep?" Jade asked Amber. "just... worried I've taken you to far" Amber answered sadly. "again Amber, we're in this together. or unless you forget none of us can continue education now and you need a legal means of avoiding that marriage to that wrongfully entitled brute" Jade assured. "but how are we going to go about-" Amber started. "unlike most we seek out as opposed to try and avoid the Keepers. and if failing that maybe strike up a summer fling with a male guest or two" Jade stated "one way or another we're getting pregnant":
