Virginia stretched as she finished the last of the paperwork before asking, "Time for dinner?"
Harold smiled as he said, "Well, I suppose you could. I'm thinking steaks for dinner tonight."
"Sounds great," Virginia replied with a smile. "Mind if I get comfortable?" she asked as she made her way to the bedroom.
"Sure," Harold said with a shrug. As she disappeared into the bathroom, Harold pulled out a few steaks and some frozen vegetables from the freezer. He took out a pot and filled it with water before putting it on the stove to boil. He prepared to put the steak into the frying pan when he heard the bathroom door open. "So, how do you want your stea... Whaaa?" he said as he saw Virginia in her weretigress form. "What? Why are you like that?"
A smile formed on her muzzle as she approached Harold. "Just letting my fur out," she said with a grin. "I mean, I spend all day in my normal human form, but at night, I can be like who I really am." She shifted her hips as her tail flicked behind her. "I am a weretiger, and I'm proud of that." She walked over to Harold and put her paws on her shoulders as she continued, "And I'm saying that goes for you too. You're not a normal person anymore. You're a weretiger, and you should be proud of that. So, I'm inviting you to be who you are for tonight. No sex, no hunting, just you being a weretiger. And us being who we really are." She took a step back as she asked, "So, what do you say?" Harold grinned as he thought about what Virginia said.

Melissa came down the stairs as soon as she heard that dinner was ready. When she reached the dining room, she froze when she saw a pair of anthromorphic tigers serving dinner. "Uh, dad?" she asked as she cocked an eyebrow. "What's going on?"
"Oh, hey Mel," Harold said rather casually, "Dinner's almost ready. Care to help set the table."
"Um...sure," Mel responded as she helped put the plates into place. "But why are you and Ms. McCoy in your fursonas?"
"To be honest," Virginia spoke up, "I just wanted to let my fur out, so to speak," She smiled at Mel as she answered, "And I invited Harold to do the same. So, we're here in our fursonas and just being who we really are." She took a moment to study Melissa and continued, "And come to think about it, I haven't seen you in your werecow form. If you ever feel the need to...you know...let your fur out..."
"Ah, um, not tonight," Melissa said as she waved her hands.
Harold shrugged and said, "Well, we won't make you if you don't want to."
The table was set with some steaks and some lima beans. Harold found the steaks really easy to eat as well as really tasty while Mel focused more on the beans. Mel didn't care for the steaks for some reason.
"So...I ran into Rachel today during lunch," Mel brought up during dinner. "We had a nice chat after school."
"Oh yeah," Virginia responded, "I remember seeing new students in my class today."
"Yeah," Melissa added in, "It was good to catch up. In a way, it felt like old times."
"Does she know about the town? You know, the fact that weres live here?" Harold asked.
"I'm not sure, at least not before we talked." Melissa took a mouthful of beans before continuing. "She's a smart girl, and she definitely noticed that I...my change...occurred. She noticed not just the change but how the student body was a bit...different."
"If I remember right," Harold chimed in, "you two were roughly the same size and age when we left Michigan."
"Yeah," Melissa responded, "And she noticed that too. So, after school, I told her the truth."
Virginia and Harold shared a look before Virginia asked Mel a question. "How did she take it?"
"Surprisingly well," Melissa answered. "I mean, she didn't freak out or anything, and she seemed to believe me when I told her I was a werecow."
"Do you think she'll make the plunge to be a were?" Harold asked.
"Maybe," Melissa said shrugging, "She's taking it well so far as I can tell. She seems to be worried about a dream of her being a werewolf, but that's the worst of it. If she's anything like me, she might be the one to be the family were. At least, once she gets a better understanding of were society and all."

The trio finished their dinner before turning to the kitchen to clean the table and the dishes.
"I'd love to stay," Virginia said as she picked up her clothes and defurred herself. "But tonight's a school night, and we'll have plenty time for...together time later." Harold and Virginia shared a kiss together before she walked through the door and on to her home.
Melissa Jenkins spent the night getting ready for bed by brushing her hair, brushing her teeth, and then taking off her clothes before climbing into bed. She wondered how Rachel was doing and how she was handling this weirdness that is Moon Lake.
