Noah pulled the book of the shelf and looked at it curiously. His older sister was responsible for watching him today and she needed to visit the local library to find a book for one of her high school classes. Bored, Noah picked up the book and carried it to a secluded corner of the building. The book fascinated Noah. Most of its text was written in some foreign language, but what Noah could read sounded like something out of a Saturday morning cartoon. Could he really alter people's minds and change people's bodies?
After sitting on the floor for 20 minutes, even the wondrous text of the book started to bore him. He looked over at his sister and started to ponder how he could escape the fluorescent prison she was keeping him in. Noah knew that casting big spells might draw too much attention to himself, so he scanned the book for something simple.
Noah pointed his finger towards his sister and whispered a few words under his breath. Just then, his sister stopped in her tracks and looked around, confused. An overwhelming sensation of boredom overtook her. She spotted Noah on the floor and pulled him to his feet.
"Come on twerp, lets get out of here" she said as she impatiently as she ushered him out of the building.
As Noah pulled himself into his sister's car, he couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. His spell transferred his boredom to his sister but it also filled his head with an unknown, uncomfortable sensation.
"Hey! Wait up Sheri!" yelled an attractive teenage boy as he bolted out of the library door. "Are you okay? I thought we were having fun."
"Yeah, I don't know Mark. I feel really weird all of a sudden. I'll talk with you later." Noah's sister Shari responded quickly as she opened the car door.
Noah stared at Mark, transfixed, as the car pulled away.
